Terrible service & grumpy server. We did arrive there for lunch at around 12:15 so it was indeed busy at that time but started to clear out soon after & still it took 45 minutes to get served our "half" sandwiches. Only then were we told that we should have helped ourselves to the soup that we had ordered at... More

For starters they know the importance of serving food warm. We traveled for 2 weeks in British Columbia and Alberta. We were fortunate to eat breakfast here at the start and end of our vacation. The food was always served warm and was very flavorful. My hubby had omelettes both times and loved them. Served with hash browns which he... More

Ate there several times. Delicious home made soups and bread. Everything is home cooked. Very friendly staff and cozy cottage feeling

My friend and I stopped in for lunch in a Wednesday around 1:30. It wasn't super busy but our waitress acted like she hadn't seen so many people in one place before. She came to take our order in okay time but we made a joke about meatloaf sandwiches where meatloaf was the bread and she said she was really... More

It was Saturday at 12:30PM. Very busy lunch. The tables are crammed in too close so that no matter where you sit on the uncomfortable chairs you are bumped by other customers moving to get their soup from the self serve tureens. There were two wait staff. Should have been three and a bus boy. Our lunch took two hours.... More

Fresh perogies made from scratch and are served with a generous portion of sour cream, bacon and onion. Delicious recipe!

I like The Cottage, it's fairly cheap, and for the main part the food is good. The only food that I've gotten there that I did not like were the potato skins. The bacon on them is the fake bacon bits, so those are not worth it. Service on the other hand is terrible. This is not a place for... More

We had breakfast here after staying overnight in Cranbrook on our way to Vancouver. Eclectic decor, decent prices, good service, tasty home-cooked food (loved the homemade bread!), and large portions. Would definitely recommend.

We sat for almost an hour before the food came out. Bread is good but nothing else special about breakfast. Not big choice. Cheap orange juice. Cute decor. Not cheap. Not friendly especially. What more can we say?
