When you walk in the door most places have someone to greet you - we were ignored for a good 2 minutes. The"hostess" kept her back to us and only spoke when we asked if we seat ourselves. Guess she had better things to do. There were several tables marked reserved, no problem with that but if they aren't coming... More

Had lunch at Hope on the way to Kelowna. The food was very enjoyable and service was very good: very nice pleasant place that is recommended for simple lunch / dinner....

Beside the delicious burgers and elk-steak you have to try the lemon-cheesecake with ants. Kudos to the chef! Also great variety of beers - my favorite: the hoppy pale ale.

This spot has really good food! The chicken bite appies were great, as was the burger. Excellent service and there's a chef owner here that cares about the quality. The only complaint we had was that we substituted Caesar salad for fries with a burger and the amount was minuscule, and we were charged two dollars extra for the Caesar.... More

We enjoyed the pull pork sandwich and fish and chips, and their menu had some good lunch choices and salads. Portions and food were good and the fries were awesome. They had some pretty amazing looking pulled pork poutine and French fries based dishes.

This is one of hopes secret gems, its a bit on the expensive side but the food is delicious. the burgers are sooo good. they also have a new desert with fried ants.. i haven't tried it, not too adventurous when it comes to things like that but friends seemed to like it. a must try when in hope!

Not sure why this restaurant gets such great reviews. Seriously, it's average at best. The service was nice enough but the food was just very average. We left most of our hamburgers.

293 Wallave was recommended tous by Joanna at the Bears Heritage Cottage. The food was amazing. We had the Elk and Byson meals, which was our first experience in Canada (we only landed today) The service was great also. The restaurant was full which is a good sign for success. If in Hope eat hear.

We had lunch here this week and were very impressed. The decor is clean and modern and the washrooms (always a good indicator!) were absolutely spotless. My husband had the fish and chips. Light batter and cod rather than some of the alternatives used in cheaper places. The coleslaw was tasty. I had the prawn salad with local greens and... More

We really enjoyed our dinner at 293 Wallace! Great, upscale food and a good price! Good drinks as well. Obviously a popular place in Hope as there was a wait to get in on a Thursday evening!

Description
The chefs at 293 Wallace Street Restaurant rarely look farther than 150 kilometres away for their meats and produce, sourcing organic ingredients from farmers throughout the Fraser Valley whenever possible. These ingredients lend harvest-fresh flavours to their eclectically influenced menu, which includes aged-in-house Angus steaks alongside traditional Creole, Indian, and Italian entrees. They also whisk together all of their own sauces and dressings, and modify dishes to accommodate vegetarian and gluten-free diets. The restaurant features outdoor seating for scowling at clouds during the warmer seasons, and shelters guests with rich earth tones and dark wooden accents within the dining room. Red tulips add vibrant splashes to the decor, as do the tabletop colouring sheets that busy children's hands pre-meal.
