We had dinner two nights in the Pub. Grilled fish the 1st night and steaks the 2nd. Both excellent. We ate at 5 pm, so all was quiet. Plenty of sports on the TVs. Friendly staff. We would highly recommend it.

Firstly never judge a restaurant by it's appearance. We were advised by the local tourist bureau [on the highway junction] to try the 1908 Cold Water restaurant. The building is rundown with peeling paint and broken windows and side walk stains of unknown origin[s]. The restaurant hasn't had a make over in many years....But the staff ,especially Krystyna, were extremely welcoming.... More

If you are going to stop in Merritt on your way through the interior - it's worth it to come right into downtown and visit the historic Coldwater Hotel. Try a meal in the pub or the cafe and you won't be disappointed. Great grub at a great price. Great atmosphere and staff, too!

We were here as a family of 5 a couple nights ago. Noticed that the seats in many of the booths were ripped and that the place was older. But wow. The food was spectacular! Huge menu, lots of familiar favourites and interesting new surprises. We realized after ordering that it was 5 minutes until close. We apologized to our... More

Located in a historic building in downtown Merritt. We always stop here when driving through Merritt. It isn't fancy, in fact I think the decor has been the same ever since we first came here, decades ago! But always good service, great food & delicious coffee. Lots of options on the menu. Choice of shredded or homestyle hash browns. I... More

We were travelling back to Vancouver from Kelowna and decided to make a lunch stop in Merritt. We noticed a beautiful old building in the downtown area, the Coldwater Hotel, so we went in to the café inside. The three of us ordered different luncheon items, wine and coffee. The waitress was very helpful and friendly and looked after us... More

Super waitress who greeted and served us with an excellent breakfast. This hotel/restaurant on the high street looked like it belonged in a cowboy film. Full of locals, especially senior citizens enjoying special price meals - Coffee kept coming. A great stop before our journey to Kelowna

We went for breakfast this morning. Walked in, the sign said 'seat yourself' so we did. We waited 15 minutes to even be asked if we had been served. We said we hadn't and had two menus plopped in front of us. By this time another family had walked in, had drinks and their orders were in. After another 5... More

Came here for a lunch with my family during the Rockin River County Fest. Ordered burgers, salads and yam fries. Really nothing exquisite in regards to cooking expertise. Burger was burned, fries and yam fries were cold and the so called sautéed shrimps in garlic butter showed no sign of garlic and oh yes they were cold too. The kitchen... More
