My wife and I went there for her birthday and were fairly happy with the food and overall atmosphere. The only problem we had was the waiter had a bit of a perspiration issue. Puts you off when you first arrive but we managed to laugh it off once we got settled. If you get to Parksville it's certainly worth... More

We stayed at the Sandcastle Inn next door so decided to go to Kalvas just because it was close. It turned out to be one of the best meals we have ever had! The atmosphere is great, the service was excellent and the meal was perfect plus the prices were very reasonable. I would highly recommend Kalvas Restaurant!

Celebrated our 47th anniversary. Mrs had a chicken dish and I had the seafood (prawns) daily special. A good bottle of white Chardonnay from the Okanagan rounded out the meal. Very attentive service without be intrusive. No water spots on cutlery or glassware and crisp ironed cloth napkins and a nice view of a garden made for a pleasant meal.... More

There are more in Parksville than fish and chip speciality restaurants--though we thoroughly enjoyed them too. But sooner or later the need for something a little more upscale was necessary. Kalvas was recommended and we are grateful it was. Service was excellent and the food was plated and cooked to perfection. A great experience

Went for dinner with family (13) for a 50th wedding anniversary celebration. Waiter was advised of allergies as soon as we arrived which he actually remembered come dessert time! Food took awhile to come out but it was very good. Desserts were very large and rich so I suggest sharing! Prices were reasonable for dinner so want too surprised with... More

We arrived with a group of 15 with no reservation for dinner at 7:30. It is very difficult to reserve ahead of time as no one answers the phone and your call is not returned as promised therefore we just showed up. Despite this we had a pretty good dining experience overall. After a half an hour wait we were... More

We happened upon this restaurant by chance. Luckily they had room for us. We all had a fantastic dinner! The kids really enjoyed their meals and ice cream dessert. Both my husband and I were too full for dessert but they looked wonderful! Really comfortable atmosphere, food was excellent and prices very reasonable; recommend dining here!

Our seafood dinner was a very good choice for our dinner visit. The restaurant was crowded and the service was a little slow and impersonal, but the food was very good and priced average for a dinner selection.

Went with friends and we all had a different entree and we all found the food to be delicious. The menu offers a good selection. The service was good - attentive but not hovering. We thought the prices in keeping with the quality and quantity of food served
