Its a log house; very much island feel, yet high quality food. You can tell its done from scratch. All was delicious. Prices, well, living cost more all over so...Service was excellent. Attire of waiters were professional; not many "family"restaurants have staff in black/white where waiters are well groomed. They actually know how to prep your napkin and from which... More

The design of the building no doubt meant to lure you in with its rustic charm. Interior could use some attention. But the service and quality of food are what will pull me back to this place. Their seafood chowder think and rich and filled with an assortment of seafood. Worth every spoonful. The beet salad cannot be beat. Fish... More

Beautiful building but this is one of those restaurants where everything on the menu sounds wonderful, but when you get your food the portion is extremely small, the food needs salt and some pizzazz, and you probably should have just stayed home and had dinner there. The food is VERY overpriced, so not somewhere the average islander can eat at... More

Arrived just as the restaurant was opening so we were the first patrons of the day. Wait staff was pleasant, not in your face overly friendly. Menu choices include pasta, steaks and various seafood dishes for the main course with the usual soup, salad and house specialty starters. I ordered the Seafood Mixed Grill and was pleasantly surprised with the... More

The Log House is somewhere where you can get tasty food well cooked and at reasonable prices. Not fine dining at all but really good steak, fish, soup. Staff very friendly although the waiter who was otherwise great, brought our check after we had asked for the dessert menu ....the chocolate creme brulee was lovely by the way. Would recommend.

Great food, great service and reasonable prices. Not fine dining but closest to it in the area. I had panko encrusted halibut and escargot. My husband had french onion soup and chicken supreme......good size portions and excellent fresh quality. Nice cabin like feel inside.

By far, some of the best seafood on the Island. We had the Panko crusted halibut and it was excellent. Staff was very helpful and knowledgable about pairings on the menu.

We have come to Kalvas many times, and the food has always been good - and still is! This occasion was my Mom's 90th Birthday, and she loves lobster! We had actually had dinner without Mom a couple of days before her birthday. Our server was John. John has worked at this restaurant for some 26 years - and he... More
