Although they advertise Ukrainian Food, it is not . I was raised with traditional Ukrainian cooking, and this food was quite different. The Borscht had cabbage, and no beans. Generally, cabbage in Borscht is a Russian Borscht. The Cabbage rolls were huge, and had a lot of meat in them which I think were more like German Cabbage rolls. My... More

If you like perogies and cabbage rolls that are authentic, this is a must go. Now for the criticisms, which are made to show just how little extra it would take to really improve... More

We love going for our Ukrainian breakfasts - the homemade bread and perogies are amazing, not to mention the eggs and coffee are local. The chocolate cake is also definitely worth sharing.

Owner of 30 years? Someone has become complacent in service!!! I sat with my coffee empty while the owner/waitress sat and visited with the "locals" Dirty plates on our table for over 10 minutes...and she even looked over at us when she took the order of the guy beside us, she brought him his tea, and once again looked over.... We live close by and had lunch here one day when we were in this neck of the woods doing something else. It has a homey feeling to it and the food is very homestyle. We had Ukrainian lunch and it was delicious. It is a little out of the way if you are in Parksville or Qualicum Beach but... More

We went for breakfast and the home-made menu was great. The Ukrainian breakfast is enough for a day; the Mexican wrap was huge; the regular breakfast was more than enough; the crepes awesome; and the coffee always fresh and oh so good.
