Ate breakfast here recently. Enjoyed it more than breakfast at another restaurant in town that we recently had. Service was quick, everything was delicious. And they fixed an error on our bill with no argument. Will go back. Tried the fishermans bread today and it was great.

Dropped into there June 25th/16 on visit to Port Alberni on a outing. Had never seen this place before on other trips there, so we went to try it out. The food is good, even though my order was some what wrong, It's a casual place with a variety of items to choice from and all reasonably priced. Portion size... More

We stopped in for breakfast. They have a couple of excellent choices for vegetarians. I had the Veggie Benny which was so yummy and the pan fries were some of the best I have ever had. Perfect small pieces, not over cooked, fried so there were little crispy bits. I am a pan fries snob if there is such a... More

I had the traditional eggs benny with home made hollandaise. The pan fries were very good and while we didn't try it, the fisherman's bread looked great and it was clearly a favorite as lots of others were having it. Very homey feel, everything homemade and generous servings for a very reasonable price!

Sorry to say that today's breakfast was disappointing. Very slow services despite only four tables occupied when we arrived. 40 minutes from order being taken to being served. Order was partially wrong, and two reminders needed to get it right. We used to get great and speedy service and rarely a mistake. Despite having it a be a treat to... More

Always a great place for lunch and for me it is the Spinach salad and a nice glass of wine. Check the specials for budget savings. With all meals jam and fisherman's bread.

I had a seafood club sandwich here that was to die for. The portion was huge and it was delicious. This is a quaint place with out side seating (weather permitting) and the staf is very friendly.

I have been here many times with friends and family who swear by the swale rock. Menu doesn't do much for me. After many visits I finally found something I enjoy and order it every time. One thing everyone I know agrees upon though is that the "Fishermans bread" is the best part of dining at the swale rock.
