Love this place as it was unlike all of the other sushi places around. We ate here regularly. Food was beautiful. We were told that they had been looking for a place downtown to open but hadn't found one yet.

Our favorite sushi restaurant by far. Incredible presentation tasty fresh food and unique combinations made this an outstanding restaurant. Sadly one day we stopped by and the Shelter was gone. It has been replaced by another restaurant but apparently new owners and the new chef. We are on the search for the old sushi shelter chef. He must be creating... More

A small but cozy restaurant. Good eat, reasonable price, beautiful presentation. Very good value. Better to reserve a table before you go.

We recently took friends here for dinner as I was so impressed with the quality of their food. We were rushed during dinner and when I asked for a little wasabi for my soup ... I was told it was an extra charge.. Then I asked for a little extra ginger for my roll and again told it was an... More

I have been coming here for quite some time. The food is very fresh and the displays are very creative. Sushi Shelter has many original rolls and original takes on the presentation of their food, as well as the food itself.

Visited twice so far, good presentation. Enjoy the crispy tofu, deep fried kale. Specialty sushi rolls comes with lots of veggies and fruits. Overall 3.5 stars out of 5 in my personal opinion.

Small local sushi restaurant in Port Coquitlam. The food is great, art on a plate --everytime. It's fresh, flavorful, great combinations. A joyful experience every time we go.

They were out of tuna on two out of four visits Sure they have some good and creative rolls (Snoopy), but when you reserve a table for 6 and tell them it is for a birthday, they could tell you they were out of tuna! How disappointing. Will not go back.
