Everything was great! Efficient, quick service, and quality sushi for a fair price. We had miso soup, vegetable tempura and three rolls. I recommend the Red Dragon Roll, I enjoyed it very much.

So many choices on the menu, the food was excellent, and our server was awesome! There was a large group of us and we all enjoyed our meals.

Had the dinner for two. It was fantastic! We ate gloriously and had lunch the next day. I would definitely return!

I think I had too high expectations of this place. I had the agedashi tofu - it was a little bit slimy. Veggie tempura was good. Pork Gyoza was average and the dipping sauce was like a hot dog mustard which was weird. Udon soup was quite good but overpowered by the seaweed. Our server was good, and the ambiance... More

OK, so a sushi restaurant in the middle of the mountains? Everyone's first (and second and third) thought is "no way!" We got a recommendation from the cool dude at Mt. Begbie Brewery and after getting testimonials from other locals, we decided to try it out. This place has sushi akin to that of the west coast. I've been to... More

Was not impressed with the food, and the prices are higher than the other Sushi restaurant. I would eat at the other place if you like Sushi, or Japanese food in general

Surprised that many of the TA reviews mentioned that this was the best sushi they have ever eaten. This was not our experience. The sushi and other menu items were very good, and especially good for a land locked small mountain town. This is a very busy restaurant and food turnover is quick. It's unfortunate that they deep fry their... More

Had our own private mini room for the 14 of us. Cozy set up. You leave your shoes outside the room. Food was all very good. Everyone enjoyed all of it. We were Parents with young adult kids. Our server was very attentive.

Always enjoy the sushi at Kawakubo. Good service and quality food, can't ask for anything more. A must go!
