Had lunch recently and thoroughly enjoyed it. The chowder was excellent, the lobster club was very good and generous and the seafood salad was great with grilled romaine and grilled bread. A nice lunch with good service. We went at the end of lunch and didn't need a reservation.

Even with the sign on the street, it was hard to find the entrance. Don't be fooled by the rough exterior and simple decor inside. This food is the best anywhere. The wait staff was sweet, and the chef came by to check on us. Generous portions. When I asked for half of my sandwich to be boxed, the server... More

This is a small restaurant on the harbour, near the end of the downtown area. It is unique as the kitchen can be seen from the dining room. The food is good. I had haddock and fries. The service was very friendly. The prices were a little higher than other restaurants in the area of similar class. It is one... More

We had a really nice dinner there last night. The outside of this small local restaurant is low key and unassuming. However, as soon as you step inside they quickly live up to their high ratings. We started with the Lobster Spring Roll which was filled with lobster meat and delivered terrific flavor. It came with a mound of thin... More

After three tries on three different occasions, this place deserves a review. The first time they were not open and phone does not take resevations. The second on the same pass through town, we arrived at 7pm as they were open till 8pm, but the hostess or server said they were closing and why don't we try the black spoon.... More

Wow. What a nice review for someone who has never done business with us. Judging by all your reviews, you seem to live to post negative reviews about everyone. Must be nice. Since you seem to know everything about everything, try to plan your vacations better. Call ahead to see availability. Restaurants do close to cater a wedding or attend... More

Great little restaurant in the seaside town of North Sydney. A very diverse restaurant with many culinary treats. Very impressive takes on "fish & chips" and other Maritime favorites. The only issue here is space. Book early if you want to go. Don't show up at the door. You will be disappointed. As well, you will miss an amazing treat.

Upon entering this place, it is very welcoming - atmosphere, wait staff and chef! Greeted with warm smiles and pleasant attitudes. Chef came out and asked us what we were interested in and gave helpful tips and advice without being pushy. Honesty is hard to come by these days and we much appreciated it. Mussels were amazing in a white... More

Cute, quaint and small however the food is amazing. Great selection on seafood... And other items however stuck to that given we are in the maritimes. Service was also good.. All were quite attentive. Thank you for a fabulous Lunch!!!

Run, do not walk (after making reservations, of course)! Ignore the exterior and be transported to a lovely supper club in The Hamptons. Innovatively designed interior has that "Shore Chic" vibe. Servers are lovely and accommodating and the impressively organized chef is quick to greet you, explain the menu, and make you feel welcomed. Before your first glass of wine... More

Don't let the outside fool you. Inside it is cozy. Chef Richard Moore is a Canadian treasure. We liked this place we ate here 3 times in two days. Everything and I mean everything is delicious, from the vegetables to the starch to the main course. The portions are large so look around and consider splitting some items. You have... More
