After the Lobster pound we were looking for a similar experience and were not disappointed. Although not as personal the food was spot on, delicious, hot, tasty and served by lovely friendly people.

The meal we had at the Black Spoon is going to live in my dreams for a long long time. I had the maple curry chicken over penne pasta with julienned vegetables, and it blew my socks off. Small place, seating is pretty cramped, but the food is fabulous. If you find yourself in North Sydney, don't miss it!

We really enjoyed the friendly staff and the fact that they were open for dinner late in the evening.

Followed the TripAdvisor reviews and we were not disappointed. Location was very good, quick service, attentive waiting staff. Food was very good, 15min wait, we loved the bacon scallops and Cajun seafood. Chowder was good but not spectacular. Same with the blackend seafood madely. Overall a good dining experience. Would go back again.

Very enjoyable dining, good food, good service. Small place and they don't take reservations but will let you know the wait time and you can wander around the streets till your table is ready.
