Great food, great service. Amazing fish and chips. Had hamburger today and it was a homemade paddy. Delicious . Everytime I come home my 87 year old dad insists we go there. His favourite place

We stopped on the way to Saint John... So glad we did. We shared the seafood platter and the fish was fantastic! Surprisingly, the scallops stole the show. Sweet and delicious. I rarely eat that much fried food in one sitting, so I was glad it was worth it. Would go again and forego the fries for more scallops. Yum.

We have been here several times and if you are looking for the best fish and chips then this is the place to go. The fish has the flakiest batter and is so good and the chips are just as good. They have changed the cole slaw to a finer cut but it is still good. The staff are great... More

My wife, daughters ages 12 and 10, and I visited Murphy's Fish & Chips shortly after landing at YHZ on the way to Cape Breton. The ladies ordered a version of fish and chips (the kids meal is a good deal), and I ordered a combination of fish and clams. We also had an order of poutine. All dishes were... More

Fish and chips are wonderful. Service was fantastic. Staff was super friendly. And the cocoanut cream pie was clearly the best bought pie I ever ate (my mother's was the best with my wife having captured the title after her passing. Great place to eat.

Absolutly the best place to eat seafood in Truro. A very highly rated Canadian casual eatery that serves many different local Atlantic seafood dishes with generous helpings.

Murphy's have been a great "go to" place for fish and chips for years. The fish has a thin, crisp batter coating and sits on a mound of equally crisp fries. Perhaps another coleslaw recipe might do more justice with the fish. Something creamy might give more taste than the "minced" slaw that is used. Staff are very efficient and... More

I visited Murphy's this past weekend as I had been wanting to return after discovering this gem in Truro last September. The food here is great with healthy portions. I had the 3 piece fish and chips knowing I would be taking half of it home to Halifax. The haddock was cooked to perfection in a light batter, and the... More

The fish here is unbelievable.... fresh, tasty and a large serving. People come from far away for their fish'n'chips. We never order fish'n'chips in ANY other restaurant... because we know they won't measure up. You will not find a friendlier staff anywhere in Canada, and that is no joke.
