When I saw Souvlaki on the menu, I knew exactly what I wanted for lunch. This restaurant serves up a different version then what I would identify a souvlaki on a pita to be. This place loads the pita up with lettuce? and heavy on the tomatos and onions, as well there was mozzarella cheese inside my pita?? As far... More

Need a slice and don't want to spend an arm and leg? Drop into Acropole and pick one up...Uniquely Pictou County Brown Sauce will leave your taste buds in flavour country! Dip your slice in the donair sauce to really take you deep into flavour country!

Although the restaurant has a few tables it's really a take out. Eat in and you use styrofoam plates and plastic cutlery. That said, the pizza is much better than the other places in Truro that I have tried. The sauce actually had flavour and a bit of spice... could use more but I enjoyed it. The crust was raised... Delicious traditional Pictou county pizza but we waited for over half an hour. It was exactly what we expected. The combo pizza had slightly too much cheese on it. The donair pizza was especially good and the donair sauce was excellent-not too sweet but just right

I ordered a pizza from here with garlic fingers and extra donair sauce. When it arrived there was no extra sauce plus the pizza was INSANELY greasy. The garlic fingers had a lot of crust and not as much cheese as I would hope for. Not ordering from here again.

No other way to say it. Best pizza in the world. Travel from Newfoundland for it. Great size and sauce. New location in Truro is also great.

Ordered from here lots of times, tonight we ordered takeout and one thing ordered was the chicken pita....omg there were 3 little pieces of chicken in it, we called to tell them we were not happy and I spoke to one girl who was the cook and she said it was a full chicken breast in it, I told her... Ordered two chicken pita's from Acropole in New Glasgow, they were great! I especially love them with a little lemon and tzatziki sauce. Would recommend these to anyone in the area looking for something other than pizza.

Pizza is delicious, but sometimes a bit too spicy, although the sauce helps with that. The interior could use a facelift though.
