We were stopping by Bancroft on the way to Algonquin Park. This place is nice, clean and neat, and waitress was friendly. We went in as a party of six and food came fast and fresh. Price is reasonable and portion just right. I had a grilled chicken sandwich and it came with soup, very yummy. My husband ordered liver... More

Don't let the exterior fool you! Food, service, and price excellent. Interior looks recently reno'd and very clean.

Really friendly owners, helpful for any food allergies. I brought in gluten free bread and they toasted it for my breakfast. The omelette with salsa, spinach and mushrooms was delicious. The atmosphere is quiet, welcoming, friendly and non-rushed, like a small town.

Great place to stop for lunch. Very clean and bright inside. Lots of items on the menu to choose from, all affordably priced. Our server was very friendly and attentive, and even suggested some alternative ingredients when we asked for a dish to be made without meat. All of the dishes had huge portions, with lots of home-style fries. The... More

There is nothing about the outside of this restaurant to suggest that its interior is modern, stylish, and comfortable. Parking is in the back (you have to know this). Service was prompt and friendly. Food was very good. I ordered the balsamic glazed chicken, which was cooked just right (not dried out), and since I don't like carrots they were... More

Stopped in to have a quick breakfast. This eatery was very clean and had ample parking in the rear. Not having eaten here for over 25 years my wife and I enjoyed the interior upgrades and the very friendly quick service. The sausage and eggs were great as were the real homfries. The pricing was very reasonable and they do... More

Restaurant has been serving home-cooked meals for over 30 years. Opened for Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner. Fresh baked Desserts Daily. Good portions for good price. Ribs melt in your mouth. Best I have ever tasted! Friendly atmosphere. It's worth a 3 hr drive.

As another reviewer said "don't be put off by the outside". The inside is very nice, Plenty of parking at the back which is the entrance. Very clean washrooms. Food and service were excellent. My friend had the burger which was huge and looked and tasted delicious. I enjoyed the fish and chips. Friendly service. Reasonable prices.

Thank george p
