Drove by Cobourg along the 401 and wanted a nice restaurant for dinner. The Woodlawn met these expectations and more. From the professional young busser, to the pleasant server, and friendly owner, the people did a great job of making us feel welcome in this historic inn. We ordered the four course meal and all parts of it were exceptional.... More

I was there for lunch today with my wife and three friends. Without exception, we really enjoyed our food. I had the sea scallops and pasta and my wife and her friends all had the seafood crepes. I finished with an excellent creme bruilet. That alone is often the test of a good chef, but in this case the mains... More

Heard some bad things so we tried it out and it was great for us. We had a gift card to use up that was given to us in 2012 and they still honored it.

We have enjoyed lunch at the Woodlawn Inn especially the special 3 course for $19.00 excellent value, friendly staff, good service and of course very good food. But of course if you didn't want that you can always choose the main menu. We enjoyed going with friends and being treated very well, it was lovely sitting down to a table... More

Stayed in the Cottage Suite for two nights and had breakfasts and dinners at the Inn. Lovely breakfast (bacon & eggs), make your own toast/bagels; cereals, fruit, yogurt. Can't leave hungry. Dinners: beef tenderloin, perfectly prepared. Salmon, very tasty and generous portion. Our server (both nights) was very experienced and witty, which made the evenings very enjoyable.

We've been for lunch and dinner, and I was impressed with both meals. The only reason I don't give it five stars is that one person in our group was less impressed with her lunch order which was chicken on a bed of polenta. Friends who went with us on both occasions thought their food was very good.

A group of us attended a dinner and summer concert in their garden. The set menu was excellent and good value. The concert was also very good and made the evening quite special. The concert was a tribute to Barbara Streisand

For the second year in a row, our family has met at The Woodlawn Inn in Cobourg for their Thanksgiving lunch buffet. The atmosphere is very comfortable and relaxed as you might expect from a country inn. The buffet food selection was very good, with tomato spinach soup, deviled eggs and various salad items to choose from to start. For... More

Wonderfully restored house provides very spacious and unique rooms full of character. The inn has a homey feel and lots of spaces to hang out including a comfortable bar downstairs and outdoor areas. Family-run establishment with friendly and helpful staff.

A favourite spot for quiet intimate dining, the romantic, centrally located restaurant at The Woodlawn Inn has been welcoming guests since 1988. A favorite with locals The Woodlawn Inn also hosts Northumberland County's premiere weddings and special events. Chef John O'Leary a red seal certified chef uses many Ontario and Northumberland products on his European and Italian inspired menus. Highlights of the inn include a great wine program. Accredited sommelier and host Stephen Della Casa offers a selection of more than 300 wines from the cellar. The restaurant also has a cozy bar with a slideshow of ever-changing Northumberland images by photographer, Stephen Della Casa and a Tuscan, walnut inlay decor. The bar also features 25 varieties of single malt Scotch whisky.
