We went to the Cabin a year a ago and was blown away with the food and service, it was a experience we talked about for quite awhile. Our return visit was less enjoyable, food was bland, the restaurant was empty and they did everything they could to get us out quickly, our mains arrived within seconds of finishing our... More

My husband and I were doing a little celebrating tonight and booked a reservation for 7:30. We expected a larger restaurant but we were quite pleased with the ambience of the Bistro. Our appetizer was Local Mushroom Bruschetta. Amazing! I had the Grey County Beef Short Rib and my husband had the Blue Ridge Turkey Pie. Both meals were excellent... More

This is one of those rare restaurants where it's really hard to choose what to order because everything looks so good! I've been four times now because everything IS so good!

We came in on a Tuesday evening when downtown seemed very empty, so were very pleased to be greeted so warmly by our waitress. I had a very tasty Caesar salad and my wife had this incredible salmon on a plank dinner. She said it was the best salmon meal she'd ever had, so I, who finds salmon too dry... More

My husband and I booked our anniversary brunch here after reading fabulous Trip Advisor reviews. We came at the tail end of Saturday Brunch service (2pm) to a surprisingly empty restaurant-we figured we had just gotten lucky and beaten the crowd, and expected a phenominal lunch based on the menu offerings. Right off the bat, service was warm but awkward... More

Started with Caesars, little light on the dressing ( which was remedied when we asked for more dressing ), alfalfa sprouts and poached egg on the salad is a nice addition, delicious. Entrees Baby Back Ribs and Surf and Turf (lobster ravioli and striploin) were splendid, though the sautéed spinach wasn't hot. These guys know how to combine flavours. Chocolate... More

There are only twenty seats in the Cabin Bistro, so if you're in a busy season, book ahead. The dinner we had was spectacular. For appetizers, we had a strawberry salad with a balsamic reduction dressing -- lick the dish good. We also had their heirloom tomato bruschetta -- also fabulous. For mains, we had the salmon which was absolutely... More

It's all about the presentation at Cabin Bistro! "Too beautiful to eat" (but we did) you are just itching to take a photo but don't want to be "that guy"... Our first time here. Decor is just too adorably organically charming. If you have never in your life had beef tartar, now is the time my friend. Unreal. Just amazing.... More

We went to Cabin for lunch based on a friend's recommendation. Restaurant is very small with maybe 7 tables inside and a few outside. There were two other tables of diners when we arrived. Service was very friendly and atmosphere is nice. I ordered a drink and we ordered a lunch main. The service was pretty slow the day we... More

Enjoyed a fabulous meal with friends. The service is attentive without being "too much". The ribs are simply delicious, as is the lobster carbonara. (Both suggestions from other patrons sitting at the table across from us). Definitely start with the crab cakes...they rival the ones at the Saint Francis hotel in San Francisco. We will be back! Chef came out... More
