Elvis week starts in Collingwood on 20th of July and one of the venues is the Huron Club among many others . The establishment has been there since 1880 when the local folk and First Nation People gathered there for Paw Paw . and Huch . This Night Robin Kelly was the main attraction at 8 PM and went on... In the first 2 days of the Collingwood Elvis festival, over 750 people came through our doors, had a very good time, enjoyed our kitchens good food, our drink and free entertainment and left smiling... We face strict fire regulations to keep people safe, high costs to be part of the festival, taxes and we are raising money for the... More

When we arrive in Collingwood, one of our first stops is to the Huron Club. We went for dinner on Sunday and they were having prime rib as their special. We loved it!! It was so tender and tasty. The atmosphere is wonderful and the staff excellent. For an appetizer, we had the grilled cauliflower! This was incredibly delicious!! It... More

We went to the Huron Club for an anniversary dinner as a back-up option when we found our 1st choice was closed. We have dined here before, and knew that the food would be amazing - we were not disappointed! We had the the Chickpea frites, a pureed Potato and Salmon cold soup, Kolapore Trout and the Striploin Steak. Everything... More

We walked in noticed Three empty tables we were told that they were reserved. They sat us in the bar area....that was ok.. However the bar tender was our server and bar tender for the entire restaurant, noticing that he was extremely busy we mentioned that we had to be out in 1 1/2 hour. He indicated that he would... Wow what a nice surprise - a cozy gastro pub with both attentive service and outstanding food. We enjoyed the signature crispy cauliflower and the black cod. Plenty of beers on tap and a reasonable wine list. While we dined in the summer - I would imagine that this is even more enjoyable in the winter months.

Unfortunately we did not get to eat here. We were seated in a nice spot in the bar area and the waiter/bartender took our drink order with the adviso that we would have to wait to put in our food order as the kitchen was backed up. He also advised us that the mussels were sold out for the night... More

Thank you very much for your feedback re: the unfortunate long wait on Monday evening. We are happy to hear that you decided to visit the Collingwood downtown with it's many fabulous eateries. Mondays are busy for us at The Huron Club and we try to staff appropriately, and did so this past week, however as with most things -... More

Modest menu, sensibly priced and good local beers. Pleasant ambience with choice of dining indoors or outdoors. Music on some evenings.

We stopped mid-afternoon at The Huron Club and found that the all-day menu was available. We ordered chick pea frites to share as a starter and each of us had the burger. The frites came stacked on the plate with our choice of sauce, pesto. They were light in weight, browned on the exterior and very airy inside. Our burgers... More

Description
The Huron Club embodies what Collingwood is all about. It's a family business that has that family touch. Every diner's experience is personal. The staff are engaging and friendly, the food is fabulous, and the prices are superb for what you get. Not to mention the local live music (available 5 days a week, Wed-Saturday nights, as well as over Sunday brunch), creating that comfy-cool atmosphere. It's casual, but yet, you'd be right at home for a special occasion like a birthday dinner or anniversary, and definitely suitable for a business lunch or dinner. They also have a beautiful events gallery upstairs for functions of any kind (complete with multimedia equipment for presentations). Their patio is a summer highlight and the building itself has such an interesting history and feel to it (as one of Collingwood's beautiful heritage buildings). Overall, a wonderful place to go for any occasion, big or small.
