Thanks to trip advisor we happened upon this little gem. We decided on this place because of the menu and thought it looked intriguing. It is not a cheap place but we were prepared and don't mind paying for top notch food. The staff were friendly without being intrusive, but some times a little unorganized, bumping into one another with... More
We attended the final dinner of the season with wine tasting Oct 22,2016. What a terrific experience with 4 other couples on our 3rd annual dinner. The food was wonderful from Chef Nathan and Sommolier Peter Boyd matched the wines. It was a 4 hour dining extravaganza and we absolutely loved it
Our second time at this wonderful restaurant in a lakeside resort. Food was truly excellent. Delicious Caesar salad with smoked trout to start and a very delicious venison rack, perfectly cooked. One of the lightest and creamiest creme brûlée I've ever had. A surprisingly great wine list with knowledgeable suggestions for pairing with the meal. Very attentive staff. Would recommend... More
We've been going to this restaurant for a few years now and until now it's always been amazing. But this time everything was awful. To start, the menu has changed a lot since the new chef arrived, the poor list of appetizer includes one salad and a bunch of breads - not what you expect at a fine dining restaurant.... More
When we arrived at the restaurant for our very first time last August, we found Chef Nathan Gard standing in the parking lot rather than in front of the oven minding the kitchen. He told us that there had been a power outage in the area, making it impossible for him to prepare a meal for us that evening. Upon... More

If you're around Algonquin Park this is a place you should go to. On our table we enjoyed a romantic candlelight dinner. I had a martini and a Portobello mushroom risotto. Everything was delicious. The waitress was polite and attentive. I highly recommend it.
Thanks very much for your great review and taking the time to write it. We're glad you enjoyed the food and had a nice romantic evening. Our chef appreciates that you found his food delicious. More
We were here for the Labour Day weekend. Finally got to try this place. Nice porch area for having a meal on a summer day. Service was good. Ingredients were fresh especially the zucchini. The portions were large so we had to share a dessert in the end. My husband had wold boar while I had the lobster ravioli. We... More
My infrequent visits here go back more than 30 years and I have NEVER been disappointed. Although the menu is limited, what they do, they do to perfection. The staff is attentive and the food diverse. Should be your destination when in the Huntsville area.
Thanks for taking the time to write this great review. We appreciate your coming here all these years and glad you found the food and service to be excellent. We hope you'll come again soon. More
