We have a cottage here and have gone to this restaurant for years. Probably the best restaurant in Kincardine. Service and food and wine are excellent.

A delightful restaurant, Care taken with every detail and meticulous service.. My husband judges a restaurant on its bread as he bakes his own and he found it excellent. We both had the curried squash soup with nutmeg and the Mongolian lamb. Both were delicious. So were the apple tart and lemon tart with sorbet. A memorable evening.

Went their for a birthday treat. Wife loved the oysters and I had the soup of the day which had a curry theme (forget the name). Both were excellent. Steaks cooked to perfection. Great atmosphere, not too busy and not too empty. Nice evening so sat in the patio area with a great view of the lake. Service was excellent... More

Of the 4 plates we had, 3 were simply superb with only one rare misstep. The Thai Crunch Salad was a feast for the eyes and was certainly crunchy enough but the promised fresh ginger was nowhere to be found (you can't miss fresh ginger) and the vinaigrette sadly lacking in the honey as stated. My next appetizer, a special... More

We went to The Brass to celebrate a belated birthday for my sister. We started with oysters - hard to find locally, so we enjoyed them very much. We both had the special and shared a dessert. My sister tried their specialty drinks which were tasteful. We were pleased with the food and the surroundings. Service was perfect and food... More

We went for dinner and had an amazing meal. The food was great right from appetizers to dessert and coffee. Not only did everything taste great, plating was very appealing to eye. We sat on the patio overlooking Lake Huron, which was so beautiful. It was worth the drive to enjoy a lovely night out.

Never disappointed with the quality of the food at The Brasserie. Chef Griff uses only the finest of local ingredients in some very creative ways. The view of Lake Huron sunsets from the covered patio are stellar and the staff are always helpful and friendly.

The Brasserie and server Jessie more than met our expectations. Food was really quite good (see below) and Jessie kept things moving well without hovering. The setting is lovely with a nice view of Lake Huron from the patio. We had mussels and potstickers first and whitefish, lamb, and pasta for entrees. All, including dessert later were good. We loved... More

I am a longtime fan of The Brass - it has been my favourite restaurant either here at the cottage or back at home in Waterloo. However it seems like after Derrick gave up the head chef duties the quality of the food has slipped.....a lot. The last two dinners there were quite disappointing. A few weeks ago I had... More
