Great food and atmosphere and worth the effort to find. With little street presence it can be tricky but well worth it. Unique entrees that tasted great. Our server was extremely friendly and helpful. We wish we had known about this place sooner!

We had a lovely dinner seated on the terrace at this interesting little restaurant - good wine, tasty food, and friendly service. We ate the mussels (very fresh and spicy), the white fish, salad, and the kids had some nice options from the "little explorers" menu. Service was not fast, but it was a lovely evening to sit for a... More

Hard to find (drive / walk down the alley where the building should be on King) but once you are there it is definitely worth it. Don't forget to try the chocolate peanut butter pie and/or their yummy Creme Brûlée.

Although the restaurant is on a main street, it is a little hard to find as it is situated well back from the sidewalk. However, it's well worth the (very short) search. The décor reflects the many travels of the owners and so does the eclectic and international menu. Service and food quality were both excellent. We would definitely recommend... More

After a bit of a search we located this jewel, recommended by the staff at our motel. The atmosphere and décor was relaxed and inviting. Our server was friendly and made some very helpful suggestions. The house salad was fresh and delicious. Our main courses were excellent. The pork was moist and aromatic, the filet was mouthwatering and perfectly prepared.... More

Chose The Explorers Cafe based on Trip Advisor reviews and are very glad we did! We had fresh fish specials that were fantastic. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and we had great service. I would definitely recommend eating here when in Midland.

This is by far our favourite place to eat in and around town. Food is always great. They mix it up a bit. The curry dishes are perfect along with everything else on the menu. They also have a good selection of wines and spirits. A must try if in the neighbourhood.

I love that they do dishes from all over. I went to New Orleans a while ago and saw po' boys on the menu. It was pretty good. The portion was decent as well. Service was decent.
