We have been fortunate to experience yet another unique and wonderful dinning experience. This family owned cafe has brought a far away place within the reach of everyday people. Hailing from Nepal, Rocky's staff bring their love of cooking and a willingness to share with people the richness of this culture. Exotic combinations of spice and wonderful ingredients combine to... Rocky Racoon aka as Kathmandu was THE place for Nepalese food and upscale nouveau dishes. Chef Robin was delightful and exquisitely talented. Sadly his charitable work in his homeland has cut into time (which has constraints for us all) and the restaurant is now closed. Insert very very sad face here.

Very very disappointed!! Everything online said it was open but it was not. Just a sign on the door saying "We are closed". Not happy!!!

Walked by this place two nights in a row around 6pm and both times it had a hand written sign saying "We are closed". Permanently, this week, for the winter? Who knows? For reference, the name is now The Kathmandu Cafe in case it ever does reopen.

My wife and I went out for dinner and we were looking for something a little different from the usual chain restaurant. The night we were there is was very windy with rain and cold temperatures. After greeting us, the owner immediately went to the thermostat to turn up the heat. Despite the fact that the owner was working by... More

My husband and I walked into this cafe because it looked unique and we were looking for something different from the usual fare. Amazing. We had the soups (Thai chicken and Leek and Potato) and the Momo (beef dumplings). Everything had really unique flavours and was delicious. We talked to Robin, the owner, who told us stories about his homeland... More

I've been coming to Owen Sound for a couple of years now. When I discovered Robbie and his amazing skills I am a fan for life. I am so glad he is back. His chicken vindaloo with extra heat is amazing I've traveled a lot of the world and this would be in my top 10 favorite restaurants at all... More

Caesar salad - ok, a little overpriced; chicken curry was good, house wine was ok. Nothing special to write about, but an ok place for a dinner alone.
