Nice bakery sit down place with sandwiches, coffees, etc. Really enjoyed their Reuben. Will be back because they have nice rye breads and pretzels as well, plus meats and condiments for sale, which would make for great lunches while we're here!

If you have a cabinet full of great cakes and breads, why not serve hot food as well? This bakery is excellent by itself, but we recently ate a good lunch there - and walked out with more pretzel rolls, lemon meringue baby pies, rye bread and satisfied appetites. The staff is charming and helpful, the menu is simple and... More

They provide very tasty food. Good serving sizes and great prices. Breads are fabulous. Desserts are super. I just found that not all of the staff are friendly. For a small bakery style cafe I would expect them all to be friendly. I sometimes feel like I'm annoying them when I ask questions or when being waited on.

Go here for lunch and have a soup and sandwich combo. The caramelized onion grilled cheese is so good and any of their cream soups are guaranteed to satisfy.

I swung by and grabbed an assortment of Croissants and they were BEYOND perfect and amazing. This is a top notch European bakery and Pembroke is so lucky to have this great bakery. I plan to return and try something else. So far I can only make a testimonal on the croissants and they are absolutely amazing. The staff were... More

This Cafe used to be the Black Forest Cafe when I was in Pembroke. They have by far the best baked goods in the Ottawa Valley.

Beautiful bakery with a large selection of breads, pastries and desserts. Also lovely to stop in to have a soup and sandwich for lunch. Very friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

A great place to get a homemade lunch. Unfortunately, the service is so slow at Klaesis Bakery and Cafe that you would spend your whole lunch time standing at the counter waiting for them to pour some soup into a take-out bowl so you can pay for it and leave. I don't know what the problem is that the employees... More

The delicious pastries are the big attraction here. The lunch room is a bit sparse of decor. Standard sort of chalkboard lunch menu plus Schnitzel or Wurst. Interesting cheeses
