The food is good. Not a bad price. Staff is not nearly friendly enough. They don't talk to you at all unless it's to say "what do you want "

Excellent service and very fast breakfast and lunches. Locally owned and operated and everything is homemade. Also, if there for lunch need to have pie for dessert homemade and very fresh.

The place is clean and nicely decorated. They offered standard breakfast fare but it didn't look like they had a pancake egg combo. The hungry man breakfast was good. Eggs were the best I've had in a restaurant. The home fries were very good but the portion was extremely small. I would go again

I had breakfast here prior to leaving for a nearby town. It is wonderfully clean and the food and service make this a "must eat here" location. It is located next to the Smith's Falls Rideau Canal Locks, which is worth a nice stroll after dining, to watch the boats move through the locks.

A popular haunt for the local crown, especially Seniors. Décor is Rooster themed, thus the name. No rooster on the menu I don't believe. This is basic food done well, and well priced. My experience from a food perspective has always been good, with the Cheeseburger Platter being a favorite. Fries are very good. The service is hit and miss.... More

A fellow walking his dog at the locks highly recommended we have supper there. Also warned us the the portions were on the generous size and suggested we order the seniors portion which we did. I ordered fish and chips - 1 piece of cod, chips, fresh veggies, Cole slaw and my wife had the Wiener schnitzel (seniors portion) mashed... More

We had a wonderful experience. Great service, polite and prompt. Clean atmosphere. Good size portions. Tasty! French Toast is what my son had and loved it. I had pancakes and it was great as well. I'll go back again and again. I've been singing this restaurants praises to whom ever that'll listen. Love it!

A homey restaurant featuring great quality meals at good prices! Everything going we've tried from the classic breakfast to the omelette to the sandwiches have been excellent and filling. It's always a destination breakfast stop when in Smith Falls - Located near the locks, a picnic lunch in the park of boat from The Roosteraunt is also a great idea... More

Whenever we are in Smiths Falls we meet with family for a least one meal here. It's good home cooked meals and the portions are generous. It's a family restaurant and kid friendly too!!
