First time at the Uptown location. It is a quaint, upscale restaurant in Uptown Waterloo. Romantic setting, but also a place to socialize with friends. Staff was welcoming and helpful with food selections. We were pleased to find local brewery beer available and started with one with the complimentary bread and balsalmic vinaigrette with tomato. Apps were oysters on the... More

My hubby and i went to King Street Trio for the first time last night and it was a fantastic experience. I had their rainbow trout and he had their veal. We both enjoyed our meals. My trout was cooked to perfection. It comes with this smokey sauce that complemented the fish and veggies so nicely. Definitely one of the... More

This is an upscale restaurant that manages to stay friendly, welcoming and fun. The food is a bit pricey, but delicious and worth the cost for a special occasion, a night out with good friends, or a business meal. The staff are attentive without being overbearing and really accommodating. The ambience is terrific. Take note: the appetizers and desserts are... More

Romantic atmosphere. Great place to take clients. Pricey though so for us it's a special occasion place. Food was amazing - well worth the price paid.

We have been to this restaurant several times and found them to be attentive and serving good quality dishes. They offer early week specials which allow seafood lovers to enjoy crab and oysters for a discount. The menu is small and is tweeked occasionally. We will continue to frequent the restaurant and hope other people will give them a try... More

Any of the seafood dishes have proven to be divine. The sauce on the zucchini linguini is really Smokey and didnt compliment the dish in my opinion. The wine list is well made but the cocktails weren't the best. I'll give the benefit of the doubt to the barman and say it must have been his first day. Lovely service... More

Never dine here without an oyster appetizer. Very reasonable for quality and you can order just a few to try if you've never had the pleasure. Pair with a dry vodka martini with lemon zest - the height of sophistication ;) Service is warm and wonderful. This is an independent place, a boutique restaurant with a hip urban design and... We first tried king street trio about 2 years ago while visiting from Winnipeg. Since then we have eaten here every time I have visited the area. The staff have always been amazing and welcoming. This time we had the apple strudel brie appetizer, it was amazing. For dinner we shared a ribeye and the truffle mac and cheese. Both... More

Atmosphere Long, narrow interior as are many restaurants in the area. Clean lines, modern décor, open kitchen in back to watch your meal being cooked Welcomed by owner/operator and hostess upon entering. Nice touch. Made for a Friday or Saturday night. Service: Very attentive Cuisine: Appetizer CRISPY CONFIT DOUBLE SMOKED BACON: with a Dijon mustard aioli and a soft poached... More

Stumbled upon this place with my boyfriend. The gentleman who seated us was quick, attentive and sat us at a nice private table around 9pm. Atmosphere is great and decor is beautiful. Open concept kitchen is awesome. I ordered red wine which was good, boyfriend ordered an old fashioned which was very underwhelming. Needless to say I don't think that... More
