French restaurant with a California twist. One of the better restaurants on the West island. The staff were all polite, professional and attentive. We left it up to our server to provide the wine choices for our meal and I must say they were spot on. I started off with the bacon-wrapped duck appetizer which was out of this world.... More

This was a post-wedding dinner for about fifteen people. The setting was lovely, and guests had a choice of about four items in each of appetizers, main course, and dessert. The wines, both white and red, were chosen by the hosts. The service was excellent throughout, and the food delicious.

This was a return visit for dining after a few years away. I was searching for a cozy intimate atmosphere and that is exactly what I found...once inside. We had reservations for 530 pm, as my parents( 82 yrs old) were dining with us and needed to eat early. We arrived at 520pm and found the door locked, as the... More

After you realize that you just stepped back in time once you cross the threshold of this old stone house, be prepared for some succulent memorable meals. Impeccable service, even if it is pricier, is certainly worth the treat. Great for a romantic dinner and excellent for a business luncheon if you are looking to impress.

The service was excellent and the attitude of the waiter was always positive, with a big smile on his face. The food was good - we all had different kinds of fish and they were all cooked to perfection. The portions of the plates were not too generous, especially the vegetables and the pasta. The table d'hôte was a little... More

This restaurant is in a beautiful old building, originally a blacksmith's shop from 1847, and has in addition to its dining room, heated outdoor seating on an attractive patio. Unfortunately, in our experience, neither the food nor the service were equal to the setting. Additionally, it is in the flight pattern of three airports and the noise from the many... More

Good food with good service in a very nice setting. Tough to find good little places like this in the west island of Montreal.

We had not been to Le Gourmand for several years as the last time was not a good experience ( very expensive for average fare). After hearing from several friends how it had greatly improved we decided to give it a try. What a difference!!!!! We sat outside on a lovely terrasse.......ideal for a summers evening and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.... More

Stopped by this restaurant at lunch time before a late afternoon flight from Dorval. Lovely outdoor courtyard with excellent service. Enjoyed a fabulous fricassee of fish and seafood in a delightful tomato sauce. This was prepared much like a bouillabaisse. Bread was excellent. My partner had a generous serving of PEI mussels in a lovely wine sauce. Good service.
