Pleasant modern atmosphere with indoor and out door space to sit. Line up to order then they will bring you the food. Friendly service . Tables not large but a place to meet for food and a visit. Food good price mid range . Recommend taking home a bread that sell out early.

This is a wonderful bakery, and an excellent place for a "continental" breakfast. They have baguettes, croissants, pastries, specialty cakes, some hot prepared breakfasts (quiche, etc.) and sandwiches. We went twice. First was breakfast...I had a croissant....flaky and very buttery, and good coffee. My wife had a blackberry pastry and hot chocolate. All was excellent. We ordered takeout two days... More

We always pick up croissants and pain au chocolat for breakfast at least once on every visit to Canmore. The bakery is beautiful and the food is as good as anything you will get in Paris.

There are no words that can describe how good the pastries at this chic bakery are. I am a gourmand and therefore taste is the most important. Everything in here is full of flavours as opposed to most places in calgary. Must try!

I really want to dock a star from my rating because our meal was very expensive ($30 for 2 x croissantwich, 1 x cappuccino, 1 x cafe latte) but the food was so good that it doesn't seem fair. Our order was even marginally incorrect (we ordered ham croissantwiches and were served the veggie versions), but they were so delicious... More

Needed a quick lunch stop on our trip and Le fournil was itl. Billed as a bakery - just like a Parisian Patisserie - service was efficient and friendly. Fresh daily soup was excellent as was the quiche of the day with generous sides of fresh fruit or salad at a reasonable price. Located in the professional building, parking was... More

...then Le Fournil will be making the pastries and coffee there. What a wonderful, refreshing place to savour the day either before or after an outing in the mountains. Anything made with chocolate here is truly marvellous. I'm sure that I would recommend something else, too, if I had tried it, but every chocolate-y item, including chocolate lattes, sent me... Talk about an authentic french bakery! From the sandwiches to the sweet treats. Their coffee pairs very well. The staff is helpful. Get here early as the good stuff (it's all good) doesn't last long. And line ups can be long for the baked goods to go...best authentic french baguette. Tasty french pastries with blueberries and raspberries. Almond croissants not... More

We shared a light and tasty pastry with blueberries that was exquisite, and a small, rich chocolate cake with shiny icing and a tiny bomb of luscious chocolate on top. All items are artistically showcased. Am looking forward to returning to this bakery to try more of their items.
