We split a ceasar salad (very good), we enjoyed the prawns (many!) a lot, but the beef strip loin was disappointing mostly due to the lack of flavor we found everywhere in Alberta beef. The ricotta gnocchi were delicious and so plentiful that we were...More

We wanted our last dinner of our vacation to be special so I read all the great reviews and made a reservation. The servers and food were both excellent - enjoyed the recommended gnocchi and the halibut the best. Unfortunately, it was so warm and...More

Hi Guaiguai, . We are so thankful that you enjoyed the food and service but we are sorry about the heat. Canmore is undergoing a heat wave that is not normal and it is generally cool in our mountain town. The heat combined with the...More

My husband and I came to Canmore for our anniversary and being tapa hounds we decided to try this restaurant. The first night we showed up it was packed and there wasn't any room which we thought was a good indication of the food so...More

Hi Sonia, Thank you for your review but I have to say that your comments about pricing are not correct and you are painting a false picture. As we see with the majority of reviews our guests are satisfied with our portions and in Spain...More

Thank you for the review! Our new menu is working out great and thank you for mentioning it.

At the beginning, the waitress advised us to order 2 to 3 dishes per person, which is ok for tapas. However, they arrived quite sporadically, and were generally tiny, considering the price. In Spain one would normally get several tapas at the same time, which...More

Thank you Maik for you review. We try to space out dishes every ten minutes. As for the music... we don't discriminate between Brazilian, latin, Spanish or Portuguese and we like to play Bossa Nova on occasion.

Hi we are small intimate space so very young toddlers can be tricky (speaking as a parent). Young children are just fine as long as they can find items on our menu that they will like. We do not have a children's menu.

Description
Oted most Romantic Restaurant in the Rockies, we are tucked off Main Street Canmore in a charming character house. Tapas offers the lively fusion of Spanish and Old World flavours created by our kitchen team. We have designed a menu of specialty dishes that are prepared to order from the freshest ingredients available. All stocks, sauces and desserts are made by our Chef Dan Purvis in house. Our menu offers gluten free and vegetarian options. Share several plates amongst friends in the intimate dining room with Spanish style murals and high back leather chairs. We also have an eclectic attic with slanted ceilings and low windows which is great for small parties. Don't forget to visit us in the summer where you can enjoy tapas on our Mediterranean- style deck with lovely al fresco ambiance. And most importantly, be sure to try our house made Sangria (white or red) or choose a lovely Spanish Cava or wine from our Wine Menu. Want to bring your own wine, we offer a $25 corkage fee as well.
