Went in for dinner and couldn't get out of there fast enough. English style pub that has definitely seen its day but we rarely judge a place by its age. I'm not sure which was worse, the gnats getting into our wine, swatting away flies constantly, the piece of food stuck in my "clean" fork, the tasteless steak & mushroom... More

Ate on the patio for an early dinner, as we had heard that they had music. Having been there before over the years, my expectations of the food were not high, but I've enjoyed the fun atmosphere and music on these visits. Sadly, not so this time. Musicians were not wonderful, they were ignored by almost all. We tried to... More

Longtime pub in Markham has a wide selection of beer and decent food. Summer seating outdoors is popular and fairly busy. Service is typically fairly quick and attentive until they get really busy. Recommended.

Patio is excellent. Great pub food. Try the wings. Lots of domestic and imported beer on tap and the service is very good.

I have been going to the duchess for St. Patrick's Day for the past seven years. This 150-year-old heritage building is the place to spend St. Patrick's Day. Two floors packed of people enjoying one of the most fun days of the year. There is a live Irish band on the main floor and great music on the second floor... More

Went for wings with the Mrs. We were seated very quickly. Served with great large cut fries or onion chips, lightly battered chunks of onion, which are amazing. Wings were a bit small, but a substantial portion and a great dill side sauce. The hot wings were a bit dry and the wife had honey garlic, which were perfect. Overall... More

You can never go wrong heading to the Duch. Staff is amazing, food is always consistent and tasty and the beer is always cold. What more could you ask for. Even the local die hards that hang here are always up for some good convo to make the visit even better. Patio in the summer is the best in Markham.... More

I only use it for a quick bite and a beer. Meals are average, pints are good. Entertainment on Thursday thru Saturday. Staff are friendly. I think it's a drop in for the locals. Its been around for years.
