We got the set dinner for 8 people. Place was busy on a Sunday evening but the service was prompt. Most of the dishes which included steamed fish, lobster, Peking duck, were tasty and portions were adequate. Deserts were choice of tofu-fah, black sesame and red bean puddings. Overall, good food and reasonably priced. Will go back and try their... More

A family of four went there for dinner, had 7 dishes and soup. The focus was on the peking duck, unfortunately, the duck was less than great - it was just ok. We choose to have lettuce wrap as part of the second serving of the duck, but it was turned out to be a bit too greasy. We also... More

My family are dim sum addicts and it seems like Ginger & Onion is a place we keep going back to. It's located at a very central location, therefore making it a great meeting spot for my family and friends. Har Gow and Siu Mei are on point! Even when we go after the "prime time" is over, the staff... More

The food is good and in a lot of dim sum places, the food is usually not the problem. The service is. I understand that during the morning, it's very busy but if I ask for a cup of water (since I don't drink tea), and I'm thirsty, that's a problem. At Ginger & Onion Cuisine, that wasn't a problem.... We have been going to this place each time we come to visit Toronto, over the last 8 years. The food is consistent and very good. The service is usually very good and friendly. Almost everything they cook at the restaurant is delicious. A good place to make a regular stop at, each time one visits Markham

I enjoyed everything on the menu that I have tried. The line ups are crazy for dim sum though. It is worth the 20 minute wait though.

The nearby Pacific Mall opens slowly during the morning hours, so before our shopping excursion, we enjoyed Dim Sum at the Ginger & Onion restaurant. It was already very busy at 11:30am when we arrived. The food was very good and reasonably priced

Great Dim Sum here but too much MSG. It always makes me thirsty and it is really packed with people on the weekends. I don't recommend it.

My friend Daniel recommended me to try this Cantonese style restaurant because they still offer the food by cart, which now is rare to find in Toronto. One of the few places that still does the carts pushed by yelling ladies between crowded tables -- the way the dim sum experience should be. I was not disappointed. The food and... More

I would definitely recommend this restaurant for Dim Sum. They started serving quite early, and the place would be packed. As a native Chinese, these Dim Sum is as good as you could get it in Hong Kong or any big city with a large Chinese population. They still have the push cart, and the selections are great. Besides the... More
