Fresh ingredients, delicious food, and a calm, fun atmosphere make this a delightful stop for brunch. The District is known for its locally-sourced, made-from-scratch lunches and dinners; but if you are out-and-about and looking for a great weekend brunch spot in North Vancouver, you will thoroughly enjoy this restaurant.

We were glad to stumble into "The District" after a long day of tourist activities around Vancouver. The biggest selling point for us stopping and staying here was the fries. We were seated close to the bar/ kitchen area. While we were awaiting our meal we noticed the real artistry behind the counter of the way the food was prepared... More

We came here for a company party and it was amazing. The food was beyond expectations. They were busy the whole time however the always managed to have time for our group of 15 people. One of our dishes didn't come at the same time as everyone else's so it was generously covered by the manager. I can't wait to... More

My wife and I were in town for a conference. We walked by The District the evening before, smelled their cooking and both said, "We should eat here tomorrow." So we did. Mains looked good, but ordered five appies to share. Ordered beef croquettes (which also come with a small order patat friets), cauliflower fritters, crab fritters, deep fried brussel... More

We did. Deep fried and crisp on the outside, pretty delish. We also got the duck rillete which was quite tasty. We also split a No.13 burger that came with some fries. Enjoyed a couple Deep Cove pale ales and a Nostradamus craft beer on the heated patio out front, and the partial view of the vancouver harbour made for... More

Interesting fun layout in an old character building. We had 2 different types of muscles and they were delicious. Good friendly service with a genuine smile.

Hip atmosphere with fabulous food. Never had an average meal here. Not a great place for small children as it's quiet and upscale.

This small from the outside unassuming eating establishment offers good food. If you lived in the area (which we Kitsilano residents do not), you would visit this place on a regular basis. We were there for brunch on a Saturday, having visited a craft show nearby. To get us going, we were offered a couple of pieces of cornbread. Both... More

This lunch was not quick. Even though the restaurant was not busy and although the server gave us our menu and took our order quickly, we had a substantial wait for the lunch (soup and sandwich) to arrive. When it finally arrived it was hot which was positive. The mushroom soup did not resemble or taste like mushroom soup. It... More

Had an experience which is summed up as above. Their service standards are much below par , the servers seem to be under ineffective dictatorial control of an elderly ill organized matron. Took undue time to take orders and deliver them. Ended up paying 70 dollars for 3 ordinary low on portion dishes and no drinks. Will not visit this... More
