We were a party of 4 last night and had made a booking for 8.30. We had specifically asked for a window when we booked. We got there at 7,50 and checked to see if maybe a table was available. The Young girl was rather abrupt and said no there's nothing available right now. So we said we would go... More

About once a year my husband and I splurge on the pairings menu at the Observatory. It is actually a really great price for such upscale food and wine. It changes with the seasons, but is usually about five courses paired with wines. It is always amazing! The food is incredible and you will be stuffed after...in a good way!... More

We rode the gondola to the top of Grouse Mountain as a bunch of folks were finishing the Grouse Climb! The view from up there is truly spectacular and we wandered for a few minutes before our reservation time. We walked in a few minutes early for our dinner reservation but were disappointed that we did not get a window... More

We made reservations through OpenTable, so gained free admission to the mountain. After an afternoon of exhibits, we were seated early @ one of two tables @ the 'bow' of the building. Absolutely fabulous view was only exceeded by excellent service (including a history lesson on Vancouver) and 2 course meal. the portions were such that although we wanted to... More

This restaurant commands its high fine dining prices because of the location. The view is spectacular. But the food is barely passable given the price. The prawn appetizer is laughable. Five little shrimp and a couple of dried mussels for $18.75. The main meal wasn't terrible but not memorable at all. Service is good. Don't blame the serving staff. My... More

Best views of Vancouver, Salish sea, Washington state and the gulf islands on a nice day. Make sure you check the weather and go on a clear day. While this restaurant has great food and service, there is no point in going here if there is no view as Metro Vancouver has many outstanding restaurants that are of a higher... More

We enjoyed our dinner and felt the service and food good with options for all 4 of us.The prices were within range of other fine dining establishments. We didn't have time prior to dinner to look around and when we finished at10 were told we had to take the Gondola back down as they were closing so we couldn't look around... We dined early on a sunny day and were seated at a window table in a corner overlooking all the hikers sweating as they climbed up the "Grind". Food was better than I expected since many restaurants in scenic locations get by selling the view and skimping on the food quality. Not here. The food was worth the prices. And... More

So the observatory is a nice restaurant but the magic resides in the gondola ride and the spectacular view if you are lucky enough to score a good table. I was our first time and a couple on North Vans tooks us out, very nice evening. The food was very nice, although the menu was a bit limited. We really... More

Brought my wife here while we were in Vancouver last weekend. I had been before for business, but she had never been up Grouse Mountain so I thought the experience could be pretty cool for her. Going up the tram to get to dinner and sitting in a nice dinning room with a great view is awesome....unless it's cloudy. Obviously... More
