Good beers, went during the pub quiz which was also great fun. We had burgers, steak and pie. The burgers and pie were excellent. Good pub.

We arrived late afternoon in Auckland and had to meave early the next day so didn't want the added hassle of bookings, dressing up etc. This was a great spot to drop in, try some local beers and get some quick pub food with no...fuss. I had the fish and chips and enjoyed the addition of "mushy peas" and my husband enjoyed the chicken burger a lotMore
Delicious burgers and friendly staff! We went on a trivia night, and although we arrived too late to participate, we had a great time trying to guess the answers. Also appreciated the diverse drink menu. There were lots of things to try, and our waiter...was easily able to give us recommendations based on what we liked.More
I dont like to to bag a place, especially after Covid, but Brew on Quay was a big disappointment. I ordered Fish and Chips, which is hardly rocket science the fish was way overdone and as for the chips well what few appeared on my...plate, were hollow, to say the least. I will say the mushy peas were top class though. The wife ordered the Chicken pie and on first impressions, it looked great, then once she took the pastry top off it was basically Chicken soup! Regarding the chips, they had no malt vinegar. Very disappointed with the food, but I will say all the service staff were very friendly.More
Came for lunch and the food was great. Staff were super friendly and the pub has plenty of seating choices both inside and out. The cricket was on and there were heaps of craft beers to choose from - on tap and in the fridge....Great spot in AucklandMore
Brew on Quay was a lovely pub. The interior has a really comfortable feel and they have a great range of craft beers available. The food selection was good and it was tasty. The staff were lovely and happy to help guide you through the...beer selection.More
the point of this bar was wide choices and wide range of beers, though the decor and setup were nice too. I used to love this place and visit every time I was staying in Auckland, the choice of beers that you couldn't get elsewhere,...the meals (simple/traditional pub fare but good) and the staff friendly and helpful. Sadly have noticed that the initial wide choices in beers have reduced and on the latest visit that it has gone a long way downhill, no sign of beer menu listings (used to be a veritable folder of choices), little apart from the usual NZ suspects on tap or in the fridge. And dont get me started on the staff who preferred to yarn to their regulars rather than serve new faces.More
Hi Steve, this is Brendan from Brew on Quay. Thanks for leaving us a review. Unfortunately, due to issues with availability and supply, we haven't always been able to maintain our varied selection of beers from New Zealand around the world over the last 2...More
Great place to visit, friendly staff, lovely food & large selection of drinks especially beer. Lovely atmosphere would def come back again.
We were having a lunch before an event on Sunday, our family sat right next to a cashier machine, next to the door. A waiter keeps on talking about other customers to another waiter, like make sure that lady who's in the bathroom pays, and...other stuff. Makes us feel uncomfortable. My husband and I had to leave early as our show was about to start. My daughter and son stayed cause they haven't finish with their lunches. After we left, my daughter told me that the same waiter kept on asking them when they're going to leave, and starting to get rude. They leave as soon as they could and feeling very hurt. We are paying customers and for someone working in hospitality business, this behavior is very unprofessional. Shame though as the food was actually very good.More
Under level 2 I find it difficult to comprehend that servers aren't aware they actually need to serve you. We were seated at a table outside but for 7 of us got 1 drinks menu. Finally our order was taken then waited 10 mins for...our drinks to arrive with one missing. Had to ask for more drinks. We were one table of a possible 3 tables occupied and at least 4 staff that we saw and yet the table beside us had to go in to get drinks and the service to our table was bad! Wouldn't be jumping to go back. Apparently the cocktails were weak and only 5 to choose from. Disappointing start to our evening.More
I was there prior to Tool's concert and the place was packed with thirsty fans. The ambiance was awesome, as they played all metal songs, and staff were legends working under a very fast pace. Excellent beers on draft.
Hi Joakkin, thanks for awesome review. We do try to get the crowd going before a concert and glad you enjoyed the atmosphere. We hope you come back and try some more of our beers soon.
We popped in here for lunch on spec. All the staff we interacted with were very friendly and helpful, and the Chicken Caesar Salad we shared of a very good size and excellent.
Hi David, thanks so much for the great review! We’re glad you enjoyed your time with us.
Walked in and went to the bar to order a drink where me and my two friends weren’t asked for id. I was a bit shocked as I look young for my age and have just turned 18, so I’m used to getting asked for...Id everywhere I go to drink. I had a red apple cider and although expensive was really good. We wanted to sit outside but all the tables were taken; it must be a very popular wee pub. Good service and they tried to help us get an outdoor table but no luck. Would go backMore
Hi Jade, thanks for taking the time to leave us a a great review! We’re glad you enjoyed the cider, and glad to hear that you would come back again!
It was after work when my colleagues and I visited for a post day de-brief. The rooftop seating area we glimpsed from the street was very tempting, but sadly full when we arrived. Not deterred we found some room to sit outside on the long...table on the street. It was a great atmosphere and the table service was swift and efficient. We ordered a round of drinks - local red and some of the great beers on tap after one of the crew asked for a sample - which was happily provided. Dinner was great also, wagu burgers all round, which arrived quickly after ordering. Great location, and would definitely be a go to the next visit.More
Hi Nicki, thanks so much for taking the time to leave us a review. We’re glad that you enjoyed your time with us and we look forward to seeing you again soon!
Sooo overpriced. When the burger costs 27 dollars, you expect a bit more than a mediocre McDonalds Burger. Not recommended.More
