Of the many brunch places in the sun on a Sunday in Mt Eden we choose Olaf’s because it looked to have more tables outside than the others. It was a good choice food wise too. My omelette was nicely done with prosciutto and goat’s cheese (although marred by the mesclun salad, but that’s just personal taste. The hash brown... More

Enjoyed very good customer service in comfortable surroundings while dining on a very tasty cooked breakfast, I couldn't fault the food and the coffee was nice and hot.

We had been up to Mount Eden and stopped in Eden Village on the way back, for lunch. Three of us each had different sandwiches and all enjoyed. Quite a popular place. Tables outside in addition to inside space.

Four of us for lunch. Two had the salmon but it was underdone and oily, and after further cooking was still not enjoyable. also had a tiny piece of veg with it and no slide of bread. However, waitress spoke to owner and chef and they gave us all complimentary cakes (delicious!), tea and coffee. In contrast the omelette and... More

Visited here for breakfast one morning and this place has so much potential. The swarms of flies and cold egg at breakfast was a real turn off however.

The food and coffee were very nice in a quiet inner city suburb location. The staff were helpful and the array of breads was amazing.

Went there for a coffee and got one of the best bread (macadamia thyme) I had in NZ. Beautifully displayed and arranged, the place looks and smells already extremely inviting - and the products don't disappoint. Really worth going! Yum..

A decent cafe with great, friendly service. Great bread and a good, solid big brekkie. Good coffees too.

I have visited Olaf's a few times in the past couple of years, and never disappointed. The layout is very artisan, the array of freshly cooked breads is a welcoming sight, and also delicious. The cakes, though expensive, are again lovely. Again, being a loose leaf tea lover, they have a range available. I've read other reviews regarding average service,... More

One of the best breads in town. definitely a "Must Have" pastries and also amazing food. it's Mount Eden well-known secrets, not only for stopping by but for taking well... everything - to go. combine with very reasonable prices, but also nice big portions and a great atmosphere. One of my favourite breakfast stops.

Thank Nir S
