Excellent brunch meals. However disappointed not to have been told of the children’s menu and a couple of errors with our order. They also need to find a way to address the flies both inside and out.

In a prime position to be something wonderful, however it is looking really tired and needs some money spent on its environment and style. Toilets are gross. Staff are lovely, coffee gd and food OK.

If you are interested in garden plants and all kinds of saplings, you have definitely visited the "Kings Plant Barn" gardens. St Lukes branch is also one of the places we visit. We were intrigued by the calmness of “Kings Garden Cafe” that we had...not tried before and its being in the flower garden. The beautiful coffee he made also allowed us to rest. Thank you. It has a rich breakfast option. There are vegan and vegeterian options. We couldn't see the halal option. We recommend. Enjoy your meal in advance.More

We come here most Sundays after church to enjoy a coffee and cake with friends. This is a busy cafe with reasonably good parking and a good selection of cakes

Easy access from the Western motorway makes this cafe, tucked away at the back of Kings Plant Barn, a great place to meet friends from other parts of the city. There is usually ample parking. We enjoyed strolling through the garden centre to reach the...cafe. There is indoor and outdoor seating - the latter is shaded and protected from the weather, but not the sparrows! The coffee and scones were good and the service was very good. It was a great place for a coffee and a chat. We will definitely be back.More

Today, as part of a group of six we had lunch at this cafe. My wife and I each ordered an omelette for which we were charged an incorrect amount. The young woman realised her error and sought to charge the correct amount. We did...not receive our meals and having queried the delay was told they had been forgotten. I complained that we had not had breakfast and were hungry after waiting 30 minutes. I was offered a savoury muffin, which was stale, and a sausage roll which was at best warm and almost tasteless. Meantime we were told the chef would make our meals a priority. In other words the next prepared. We then watched a succession of meals taken to tables and when I asked what happened to ours was told they were on the way. Finally in frustration I asked for a refund to be told the meals were " in the pan". We had had enough at that stage and demanded a refund. Nobody was unpleasant but the staff are passive, do not exude much interest in their customers and generally do not appear to be particularly happy doing what they do. Over a number of years we have had lunch or a coffee and muffin here many times but not again.More

You have to walk through the Kings Garden Centre to get to this café but that gives it a peaceful and quiet setting. The outdoor area is pet friendly and is sheltered from the weather. Coffee and cake were very good. The place seems popular...and is a good place to rest after browsing the garden centre.More

A handy place to refuel while shopping for your garden- or even if you are in the immediate area. The cafe has an indoor area and a covered outside section. Obviously there is parking just outside for the plant barn customers. To my mind this...is a more pleasant option than anywhere in the St Lukes Mall. Food offers are in the NZ style and cooked breakfast options are available. We had coffee and a toasted sandwjch with a side order of fries. Everything was fine, service and price were acceptable.
