Had lunch today with family for Mothering Sunday. Unfortunately there were not enough staff for the amount of covers they had and we had to wait an hour and a half for our starters. Then another long wait for the main course which was lukewarm...and disappointing. Maybe the management should have considered reducing the covers if staff are unavailable. Very disappointed.More

We started returning to the Moulin in 2022 when we heard there was a new chef, we kept returning for the service from the manageress. Unfortunately she’s gone now and so are the standards, the pub feels grubby and unkempt and the service is appalling...now, we won’t bother coming back. Shame.More

Grumpy staff and mediocre food is the reason I gave this place two stars, and the stars were for the dessert which was nice. I am allergic to wheat but vegetarian by choice. There was only one thing in the menu I could eat once...I got someone’s attention to ask. The staff were so miserable and I felt like I was a nuisance because of my allergy and choice of diet. I was told “oh I suppose I will need to check then” when I enquired about what I could have. They did exchange the flat bread for a GF roll but the curry was not that great. The butternut squash had its skin on, the beans had not been trimmed and were so hard I could not cut them! We were given the October Fest menu 2 courses for £17.50 but oh my the portions were small and when Hubby’s chicken satay came out there was only one and it had 3 bits of chicken on it . Will not be returning here in a hurry . Saving grave the footie was on 😃More

Le Moulin has been a regular hostelry visit of ours. My first visits were over 40 years ago when I worked in St. Ouen. It has changed hands, different breweries, and different management. Some good, others average at best. Jo and her team are the...current hosts, and they run a very happy, pleasant ship. We have been a number of times post Covid-19 and I have to say that the food has always been excellent. We particularly enjoy getting the bus from town and back after dinner. This gives us ample chance to enjoy their delicious ciders!More

My wife and I decided to give this place a trial, it was not particularly great. Jersey has many good pubs with great cooking, sad.y this is not one of them. The meal offering was very average and despite the fact that the venue was...virtually empty the service was slow. Sadly there was no atmosphere either, hence the low marks.More

Visited a number of times during my stay in Jersey and was not dissapointed on any occasion. Food is extremely good, tasty, nicely cooked fresh to order and extremely good value for money. The bar is pleasant, friendly, clean with a tasteful decor. The manager...and her team cannot do enough to help you. Well worth a visit folks and highly recommended by me.More

A return visit and we sat at an outside table as it was a sunny day. There is a lot of seating outside and some tables have parasols. You need to order your food at the bar first and collect your own cutlery and sauces...but then the meal is delivered to your table. We were there about 1.30 pm and both had fish and chips which was good and didn’t wait very long for it to arrive though it wasn’t very busy on the Saturday we visited it is a very popular location so be prepared to normally wait about 30 mins at least. Very nice toilets inside and we were able to park our car easily In the pub carpark though there is a free car park a few minutes walk away nearer to the beach but once again both could be full on a busy summers day.More

Dropped in and had a lovely meal, so went back a few evenings later for a second helping.! Setting is lovely, staff are friendly and food delicious. Do try the DUCK - delicious. Not a huge range of desserts but they are very good

Had an amazing fresh crab salad followed by the steak and ale pie quite honestly one of the nicest ever. Great staff who loved the dogs. Followed by a sticky toffee pudding and a chocolate brownie. Yum all the way!!

We had a beautiful evening meal at this pub /restaurant. Three delicious courses. The food was great and the portions were huge. The staff were all lovely and there was a great and very much enjoyed selection of food for children. Definitely worth a visit

My wife and I booked a table for Sunday lunch, after spending the morning around the pretty harbour and beach at Greve de Lecq. The bar was busy, with people ordering snacks and drinks to take advantage of the sunny weather. We chose to eat...in the wood panelled restaurant. Service started less than well - our server had some difficulty in taking our order. The menu was quite short - my wife went for the mixed fried fish, substituting a salad for the chips. I had the beef roast. The meals were fine without being overly exciting. I could have done with a wider variety of vegetables - parsnips, cauliflower cheese perhaps in addition to the roast potatoes, carrots and cabbage provided. The beef was plentiful and cooked to my liking - on the rare side of medium. The roast potatoes were hot and crispy. Desserts were a vanilla cheesecake, which came up on the large side, and an apple crumble and custard which was a little sweet for my taste - a matter of personal preference. Our server became chatty later - she seemed a little unsure of herself at first. The restaurant was probably about a third full so there was a tranquil ambianceMore

What a find ! Spent a lovely afternoon here , just missed the lunch service so decided to hang around and wait for dinner in the sunshine. Really good Sauvignon blanc and nice local cider. Interesting mixed menu both hubby and I opted for the...scallops, prawns and chips in garlic butter it was absolutely delicious. Scallops were cooked to perfection. Bar staff were delightful really friendly and welcoming, super dog friendly as well. Quirky pub set in an old mill with good out door seating. Well worth a visit.More

We went for an evening meal, and it was not that busy at all (though they had had a busy lunch time and were out of a few items). Dining room is nice, and service was good and efficient. The fish and chips (hake) at...justover £18 was excellent and probably the best I have had for quite some time anywhere. We also had the lamb kebab which was also very good, very tasty and good value (similar price). The pub is in a great location, just back from the beach, so we had a wonderful after dinner walk along there to take in the views. Overall, well worth a trip.More

Returning to The Moulin after an extended absence, we were surprised to note a change of management, but delighted to report that Ken and his delightful team are every bit as welcoming as we have enjoyed previously. We arrived by bus, the No. 9 from...the bus station, and walked the short two minutes towards the Moulin. The bar sports an impressive range of ciders, beers and ales. We were dining and having made our reservation announced that to the team. Soo we were seated at our table in the delightfully refreshed restaurant. Everything was clean and spot on. My wife had garlic bread, with real freshly crushed garlic on it, I had the very lovely pea and leek soup. For main courses we both opted for the chicken and chorizo pie. I had chips, my wife chose mash and green beans. Both were excellent, and was absolutely all we could do to finish it. Washed down with a couple of pints of perfectly chilled cider, truly a memorable meal. We have already booked to return in ten days for another wonderful meal.More
