This restaurant is probably the finest in the region, and there are some worthy competitors. It has been an outstanding restaurant for many years, but the level was elevated a few years back when the new chef-proprietor took over after the retirement of the previous...More

Re-opening mid May - we tried to visit 25/4 and sadly it was closed and in the middle of renovations. We believe it will be open again in early to mid May.

Situated in a small, attractive village in the Lot boasting an ancient church and some quaint cottages the restaurant is perched part way up a hill with lovely views from the Chesnut shaded terrace. The 19th century building is of honey stone, sympathetically extended and...More

The second star hasn't led to an increase in prices. The menu is as exquisite as ever: just sad that one can't eat everything on one visit. The soufflé is as always a delight and the sommelier is most helpful. An evening to treasure.

Everything was wonderful: the beautiful setting, the highly professional but totally friendly service, and the fabulous food. Hard to imagine a much better experience. We will absolutely go again when we return to the Dordogne.

The restaurant really needs no additional review. It is what you expect from a first class establishment. The staff are attentive but subtle; the food, each dish a piece of art. I will add, however, for my fellow American tourists, but the staff were wonderfully...More

We took the 42E Menu Gourmande., The Amuses and the Mise en Bouche were mind-blowingly good, as was the Filet de Cabillaud en Veloute de Petits Pois entree. Epaule d'Agneau de Quercy was OK for shoulder of lamb, but the dessert Pavlova was terrific. Too...More

That's unfortunate but something we have never experienced. However, we are going there on Wednesday so I will post a review and see what happens with the bill.
