Arriving by motorbike originally just to have a drink around midday, the welcome from the boss made us want to stay for lunch. He offered to store our motorcycle belongings in an annex room while we had lunch or while we went for a walk in the village afterward. The meal is very good, the children's menus well stocked and good. The only downside is the wait. We waited almost 45 minutes for our food. Despite everything, I recommend this restaurant for the welcome from the owner and the quality/price ratio of the establishment.

In the nice village of Montcuq there is, among other things: this restaurant with accompanying terrace. There is a fairly extensive menu. The food is fine, but don't expect anything special. It's more like "brasserie" food. Friendly service.

Welcome for this Sunday evening service. The Quality / Award ratio is correct. Generous gizzard salad, duck confit and Sarladese apple. Nice attention: the small soup offered

We twice ate out in the evening on the Terrace of the Bar du Centre in August, 2020, and the food was delicious. Try the local aperitif (Fenelon). My husband's Caramel Liegeois Icecream was amazing. Patronised by locals and visitors. Service is friendly and swift but we could linger over our meal. I would definitely recommend this place.

The butcher's piece is an excellently tender and toasted rumsteck heart. Before that, the waiter brings you melon, a gift offered to each client coming to eat. The staff is friendly and also brings you a bottle of water (bottle of water that in most other restaurants disappears if you do not claim it, here it is served automatically). In short, we eat very well and with a more than correct Award (the piece of the butcher is twenty euros per 250 grams and it is sliced, which facilitates its tasting as well as being able to check the cooking requested)

A very nice, smiling and very pleasant waitress. We had coffee there and therefore reserved a table for lunch. The daily special of fried squid suited us very well. Very nice we will come back. Thank you very much to this young girl who does her job admirably well.

Friendly welcome, very good local dishes and very reasonable Award! Arrived for dinner after a long journey it was a beautiful discovery! We returned 2 days later as a family. They did not hesitate to receive us to 24 people! Always the same friendly welcome and impeccable service! Thank you.

Great café with a great location. A beautiful picturesque village with a vibrant market and of course plenty of sunshine. Best food to have is assiette quercinoises which is basically four types of duck with cheese and chips and salad. Unbeatable!

Met a friend/colleague for lunch. Menu du jour was anchovy tart followed by veal papillotes. All 5 of us opted for this and what a great choice, although there is also a menu if you want something else. The tart was a puff pastry base with a veg topping and a couple of anchovies and served with a simple salad. Delicious. The veal was served with rice and a tomato 'sauce' over it. Not had them before but would have again, very tasty. Quite a filling meal in pleasant surroundings (despite the roadworks in Montcuq) with great company.

We had a quick lunch here last week. We have visited this cafe many times before but usually for a coffee or drink. The food comes very quickly and is good. It is a friendly, fun place and pretty busy.

Welcoming atmosphere and friendly helpful staff. Very accommodating of kids and also pets. All dishes ordered were as expected and thoroughly enjoyed. Also great for morning coffee. The setting is truly fantastic in the centre of this beautiful rustic French village.

And it never fails. Love it. Always buzzing, busy with local French, a few English expats, pilgrims on the Compostela way...excellent coffee, v good plain food, well and freshly cooked. Very French patron, never stops working. Lovely English waitress but you would never know it ...she is married to a Frenchman and her French is flawless. We come to this corner of France everyyear for several weeks. Our last dinner out tonight before we go home....guess where ?

Great food, plenty of it and no problem if you don't speak any French - lovely setting - we've been many times for drinks, lunch or evening dinner - always a joy to be in Montcuq and re-visit! Plenty of choice for kids and for adults and very accommodating to alterations if you ask.
