We ate dinner outside on the terrance where we watched the gondola overhead, listened to live music from the stage beside us and enjoyed our dinner with the firepit lit near our table. We enjoyed our meals and found the service good even in the busyness of a Friday evening.

Friendly service, good atmosphere. Not gonna win a ton of stars for the food, but for what it is the food is decent. Location is absolutely perfect.

We were in Lake Tahoe for our wedding. Really enjoyed meeting out family and friends for lunch, dinner and cocktails! Live the short ribs and the short ribs pasta. Very tasty! One of our favorite places in Tahoe!

Some people in our party ordered the corn bisque soup. It was average tasting, but $9 for a small bowl was overpriced. The location of the restaurant was what you paid for. I'm sure some people would like it, but the menu and food did not really appeal to us. The service was very good though.

For starters, South Lake Tahoe is not a food destination. Gunbarrel Tavern is an exception to this observation. It is good for families, couples, or singles. The service is excellent, the menu has some innovative dishes and it is extremely well prepared. I highly recommend the chicken sandwich which has some delish chicken, mozzarella, watercress and Balsamic vinegar, all on... More

This restaurant had nice food options and we all enjoyed our meal plus they have nightly entertainment to enjoy. Try the shrimp and grits - tasty!

Sat outside for dinner under the gondola. Good wine list. Ordered tri-tip steak and it was amazing. Wait staff friendly and very efficient. Could have sat here all night. Great area to explore too.

We stopped in late in the afternoon for a drink and enjoyed live entertainment while watching the gondolas go up and down the mountain.

I had the chicken sandwich and loved it. Would have been diamond rating if the hostess had ensured tables were on ready rather having to wait for buzz

We loved this place for happy hour -- and ended up staying for several hours! After our gondola ride, we sat on the patio and drank delicious $3 beers. They also had a $5 nacho special -- which was yummy. Great live music, a fire pit, and wonderful service. Loved this bar!!
