I am a local so I have visited almost every month of the year. I forgot about this place. I need to go back as years ago it was one of the best. Out of the way so mostly locals go here. I hope it is as good as it was. I will go back and revise my review.

Located near our motel. We ordered a couple tacos and one super burrito. It was super huge! The price was average for taquerias in California. No chips though.

Saw the reviews.. walking distance from the Marriott.. Since we weren't up for any of the food at the Heavenly Village, we gave this place a shot for a late lunch. I have mixed feelings. Food is affordable, no one got sick, food came out hot. Nothing fancy.. Styrofoam plates and plastic forks and knives. The interior was pretty messy.... More

We saw the restaurant from our hotel room and thought it was closed. However, it opened on the Friday night so we decided to try it. It was just great - very authentic food and incredible value. Definitely not a tourist restaurant. Most of the customers are locals.

These genuine tacos are great. One block walk from the highway, one block from Stateline on CA side.

We walked by the place a few times and thought we would give it a try, what a great decision. Very nice people and wonderful tacos...truly looks like a hole in the wall, but the food was excellent and the place does a good business!

The food wasn't flavorful as Mexican food should be,the service was ok but the prices were affordable.

Located between many hotels and Heavenly Ski resort, Taqueria Jiménez offers true, well priced and home made Mexican food. Of course that if you are not into this cuisine, it doesn't make any sense. But after a whole day at the Mountain, nothing like a good Taco to warm up the belly.

We tried the asada, chorizo, cabeza, al pastor tacos and they were all very good. The place is very small and homey but nice.It was very close to big pines were we stayed. It was also very economical and nice if you just want some simple and delicious food for a bargain!

The beef steak tacos were really tasty. In fact, all the tacos I ate were really good. Who can beat the price for a steak street taco at $1.25. I will return again when I'm in South Lake Tahoe!
