On my last night in South Lake Tahoe I ordered takeout from Ten Crows. I wished I ordered from them on my first night as I would have gone back for another delicious meal. We had been up in Incline Village snowshoeing most of the...day so when getting back to South Lake Tahoe was just looking for a quick and close place and Ten Crows was right across the street from our Marriott. My wife was going to make something for herself in the timeshare so I just ordered the Brisket Philly with no cheese. I was told 15 minutes and my order was ready at the time stated. The pick up window is in the back by the outside patio. When I arrived I noticed the staff was doing all the Covid 19 precautions and the inside tented area had tables that were spaced far enough apart. The outside patio was a large area that during warmer times would be a great place to have a meal and listen to some music. Well I got back to the hotel and took my first bite of my Brisket Philly and it was amazing. It was like the smoked Brisket guru, Aaron Franklin himself was out back at Ten Crows smoking up this so tasty Brisket. Great flavor and even in the sandwich I could taste the excellent bark on the Brisket. I am glad I did not get it with the cheese so I was able to enjoy the flavor and wonderfulness of this Brisket. Like I said, it was my last night in South Lake Tahoe but I would have loved to go back and try some other dishes knowing they would be as good as my Brisket. Will certainly do that on my next trip up to South Lake Tahoe.More

The "inside" dining room was closed due to Covid restrictions, but sit-down service was provided on the outside patio, with tent walls and heaters for warmth. We were seated promptly, and submitted our orders. Our server, Taleah brought our meals out promptly. The food was...incredible! Cooked perfectly and full of flavor. We did have one question about one of the meals, and Taleah bent over backwards to make sure we were happy with our order. I can't give enough praise for Taleah, and for Ten Crows BBQ as a place to eat. We will return any time we are in the Lake Tahoe area.More

We stopped in on a Sunday to catch the Colts and NFL games. They sat us in the covered outdoor area that had 3 TVs and we were able to get the colts game and NFL red zone at the same time!! They even left...the remote on our table, great service throughout!! The brisket nachos were good and they had local craft beers. We had a great experience!More

We got there ~ 6pm on a Sunday evening in August and were able to be seated immediately. We noticed that shortly after we were seated, there was a wait. When we went, there was only outdoor seating permitted but the outdoor dining area was...very cute, comfortable, and spaced out. The overall vibe was great! We ordered a full rack of ribs, half a pound of tri-tip and the cole slaw. All the meats had excellent smoke flavor, and we saw them loading the outdoor smoker with new meat while we were eating. The tri-tip was the least impressive part of the meal, there wasn't much flavor outside that initial hit of smoke. I probably wouldn't get that again. The ribs, however, were to die for. The rub/seasoning on the ribs were delicious with just a bit of a kick to them. The meat was tender, not quite fall off the bone, but easy eating. The sauce was also very good, a great balance of sweet and tangy - I had so much internal debate deciding whether to eat the ribs naked or to dip them in some BBQ sauce - couldn't go wrong either way! The cole slaw tasted extremely fresh and was not overly sweet as some slaws get. Each meat came with some pickles (extremely tart, but great!) and some sliced raw onions. Service was fantastic - my water was constantly replaced just as I needed it (as I was parched after a day of hiking). NOTE: there is no parking lot, though street parking is ample and easy to find (between the restaurant and the lake).More

The food was very good. But unfortunatly the service could have been much better. - First, to order takeout, the line was to the street - at least 20 or so people in line. Yet, they only had one person taking orders, who was also...taking phone orders and getting drinks for those who ordered. So it was s-l-o-w, and that's not good standing in line in a crowded area on a ramp leading also to the restrooms, during Covid time. - Second, once you put in your order you were asked to wait in the patio area - and rather than call names or have some kind of electronic system (electronic numbers or they text your phone when your order is ready), they instead have you hold a number and the server comes out walks all around the crowd (in some cases, I saw, many times, over the course of 5-10 minutes (literally) looking for the number that goes with that order. I stood right next to where the servers come out, and held my number up to be very visable, and the server walked right past me - and circled back after a few minutes, then saw my number and gave me my food. - I had asked for extra ketchup/mustard, but I didn't get it. Thankfully I had checked before walking back to my hotel. Anyways, I tried, to no avail, to flag down a server to get that for me. So I finally walked up to the kitchen to ask. The cook was frustrated and yelled at a server "who left the door open??" , shut the door and then reopened it - with my ketchup/mustard. They need a better system. But as mentioned, the food was good.More

Tri tip was great. We sat outside with beautiful weather. Service was slow but everyone needs to remember due to COVID staff is low and seating is limited. Food was outstanding, beer is always good!

Food pretty good, service great and beer list... Meh. My daughter and I ordered the loaded nachos, burger and Mac n cheese. The nachos with pulled pork we're delicious and as described. The burger rather thin with no fries. The Mac n cheese good. All...portions (except nachos) were small. My issue with the beer list is that they were so heavy on sours and IPAs and then just clear stuff. I'm more of a strong malty or Belgian beers liver and there were no big dark ages to choose from. I did go for a light amber ale which was ok. :-) During covid the restaurant did a great job with outside seating, live music. It almost felt normal having dinner here. For that reason I think you should go. Safe and fun.More

Delicious ribs, Garlic Mashed potatoes, BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich and Loaded House Nachos. My adult children thought the mac and cheese tasted different, not in a good way, and didn't eat the two half pints I purchased. at $6 each. A bit pricey for three...people - just under $100 for 4 half-pint sides, one full order of ribs, sandwich, and nachos. Other than the mac and cheese, it was worth the price.More

This is the restaurant at the Hotel Becket ( see my review elsewhere ). The food is excellent and there is live music most nights. Prices are reasonable and there is a fair choice of food on the menu. Like the hotel, the staff are...really helpful and friendly. They make the place.More

Came here around 8pm two weekends ago and there was a live band, so we sat in their enclosed outdoor area, at first. I say at first because after 20+ minutes, nobody ever came to the table, the heaters were insufficient and we couldn’t hear...each other. When we came back in and brought this to the attention of the bartender/manager, she gave us a dismissive comment and went back to what she was doing. We sat down in the main dining area and we finally got served a few minutes later. Service the rest of the time was rather inattentive. I tried to order the brisket but of course they had “sold out.” My friend already ordered pulled pork so i tried the pulled chicken which was absolute garbage. Sides were ok, except for the sidewinder beer batter fries which stunk. The only redeeming quality was the beer was ice cold and delicious. Overall, grossly overpriced given the quality. The reviews on Yelp and Trip Advisor are way off base. I will not return here ever again.More
