We decided to visit after passing many times. Had seen that the variety of drinks on offer was very good. Parked up on the car park at the side. A bit awkward turning in as we had a car close behind and had to shoot...More

Conveniently opposite the train station - this pub is very old fashioned - think run down genteel style but sparkling clean. Dog friendly, walker friendly, good pub grub including their own famous pasties. Lovely friendly staff. No frills - instant coffee served in mugs but...More

This basic old charming pub has a well kept range of real ales, some brewed on site. Friendly service, food is traditional British, huge portions and very good value. Don't be put off by the shabby exterior; this is a gem of a place.

This place is deceptive, from the road it is ordinary, inside looks nothing special but that's it's charm, the beer is superb and for the area cheap, we will be back before the end of the week.

Don't be scared to try haggis in Yorkshire pudding. Lots of beers brewed on the premises. Easy to get to on train from Barrow.

I've been here a few times and always had a nice afternoon. Good range of drinks but not your normal lager, cider, etc, reasonable prices too. You can get pasties and filled Yorkshire puddings, I've had the pasties with mushy peas and it's always really...More

I described this place last year as a 'Railway Inn with a Heart of Gold'. Its a small pub & hotel on the main road opposite Foxfield Railway Station. It has four bedrooms and has a genteely 'run down' feel to it. It is simply...More

Awesome friendly little independent pub, views over the estuary, just by the railway station - very welcoming. We stopped for Sunday lunch, which was gorgeous and very reasonably priced. All home cooked fresh, with piles of veg and a giant Yorkshire pud. They’re a CAMRA...More
