We visit this restaurant again and again, lunch, dinner, midweek, weekend! Always a relaxing and delicious experience. Never disappointed, good value for money. Service is truly excellent, all staff accomodating and welcoming. The owner is always extremely nice and very much present, she greets guests...personally. We have come to know the wait staff and they are very obliging. The food is extraordinarily delicious, the pasta dishes exquisite, I'd say among the best in the world, the very best! We look forward to the specials, the element of surprise and newness is tantalising but above all we know it will be fantastic anyway. At this place you can have lobster without breaking the bank. We have tried a selection of antipasti, very tasty and fresh, both the crudo as well as the hot items, the latter freshly cooked and served piping hot. Pasta to die for as already mentioned, fish dishes cooked to perfection. We have also had meat dishes, also highly recommended. Desserts are excellent and a good variety is available. Even the bread and olive oil that accompany the meal are of outstanding quality. The wine list is extensive and we've had some really nice wines here. Suits every budget. An added bonus is parking availability. All in all this is the place where we know we can have a delicious meal, comfortably, at a reasonable price, in an excellent ambience. Highly recommended indeed!More

This restaurant is perfectly located enjoying sea and marina views. The decor is fresh and classy. Adapted for lunch and dinner, family or romantic. The chef Enrico is a little genius in terms of flavour, creativity and presentation in spite of his young age. He...also like few chefs around, knows his wines as much as his food. Its a fish place really but we had excellent steaks too at times. its one of our favourites and top joints on the island. Spotelss and top class toilets too. Indoor and outdoor. One last thing. The host Michelle is a very beautfiul lady who smiles and carries her persnality right through the dining room. I would go even only to eet her never mnd the food. By the way. An encyclopedia of a wine list too. Please go and share your experience with me. A must at least once a month lol.More

This is one of my favourite restaurants in Malta. Fresh ingredients, consistently good cuisine. Most staff (chef included) has worked here for many years and the owner runs front of house extremely elegantly. My wife, kids and I just had lunch here. Apart from an...exquisite meal, we were impressed by the safety precautions in place due to COVID. We felt perfectly safe and enjoyed every second of our dining experience. I strongly recommend La Vela. Best to book a table in advance.More

Highly highly recommend this lovely restaurant with a beautiful setting. For starters we had whitebait fritters, fritto misto, involtini of bresaola with cream cheese walnuts and honey. My daughter had spaghetti vongole and we had seabass al sale as main course. Everything was cooked with so much...love and perfection and I honestly and genuinely recommend this place. We finished off by sharing a Nutella cheesecake which was to die for. Felt very safe dining in this restaurant with all the necessary precautions in place. Willie Mangion definitely kept us entertained throughout the evening. Will definitely return.👏👏👏More

Discover delicious Italian cuisine @la_vela_pieta in the heart of Malta on a seaside location. Absolutely loved this restaurant. We were not sure about how good it would be, however surpassed our expectations. The food was delicious, the waiters were lovely and made sure that we...were looked after properly but not in a way that made you feel rushed. Wine list was nice, just a very nice experience and yes we will be back again.More

An exquisite meal based on seafood and fish dishes cooked to perfection. The ambience of this restaurant is perfect too, not too big, space between tables was adequate to have our privacy to chat. Although the restaurant was busy on Christmas Eve we were given...attention and service was excellent with all members of staff all knowledgeable about food and wine. Needless to say the dessert selection was perfect too. I opted for different pieces of real chocolate and Rum. Not a very common dessert on restaurant menus. I thank Michelle and her team for a perfect birthday meal.More

I have had the opportunity of visiting this place twice in a row after being absent for some time. I must say the place has made a huge step up in quality and ambiance. Michelle is always herself, radiant and helpful. The wine waiter Enrico...is very knowledgable about wines and ready to help you make a choice,, the starters are amazing from deep-fried squid, to clams, scallops sauted octopus, etc.. The first course is a treat, made with homemade pasta and incredible sauces, my favourite is Ricci or red shrimp. The main course is a difficult choice as there is always a good variety of fresh fish to choose from. Not to miss are the cannoli disfatti..yumms finally, the eine list is huge and prices acceptable, but as I said the sommelier Enrico is there to help and guide. In all always a pleasure to go there have an excellant meal and relax.More
