Situated on the rocks with waves breaking at hand definitely one of the most picturesque venues I have ever seen. Good food and wine. Staff very professional and knowledgeable. Safe and secure parking. About 30 minutes drive from Cape Town CBD. Perfect venue to hang out with family and friends.

Very nice setting ...... But the path leading to this restaurant is stinky and bad . It smells like a public open toilet. Sometime, restaurants that has a prime location , don't pay much attention to the guests and this one falls into that category . They know , tomorrow it will be filled with other guests and don't work... More

The best service I have had in a while, I eat out a lot and not many places offer such great service. Mandy was exceptionally great, very pleasant recommended I have fish and chips, price is reasonable too. I would highly recommend this place solely on service..

People seem to rave about this place but I failed to see the attraction when I visited. It certainly has a dramatic location virtually on the beach going for it, though the fish and chips I ordered were not at all enjoyable with tough, crunchy batter. Toilets were dirty, and staff member who served our group came across as impolite.

Been going to this place for 35 years or so....likely the best view around .great location.....traffic and parking a bit of an issue in high season..but always worth the effort....the restaurant itself has gotten a bit too touristy over December....high prices for mediocre food....but still a firm favourite with entire family...

The Brass Bell is a Cape Town institution and we stopped in for a few beers and a bite to eat. The restaurant was fully booked, no surprise on a Saturday afternoon, so we sat outside next to the tidal pool. Service was efficient and fun and the Calamari was good. Slightly crunchier and less tender than Chapmans Peak Hotel... More

Caught the train from the Southern Suburbs to the Brass Bell. Great if you want a few glasses of wine and some frosties and you don't want to drive. Good service, great pub type food and the Restuarant almost sits on the rocks overlooking the Indian Ocean. Lots of families with young children were there, all very well behaved. Fish... More

Loved the vibe and waves crashing nearby. Great view over the ocean. Despite being seated some distance from the main section, the service was good. Our food was very tasty and very fresh (fish and chips). Tip... Book a table in the new section upstairs. Nice views all round! Also some great shops nearly so make time for a bit... More

Who knows why Kalk Bay has become a great place for antiques and quirky shops but if anyone knows then the answer would lie with the owners of the Brass Bell as it has been the very epicentre of this wonderful little coastal dorp. The Brass Bell itself is a conglomeration of several unique eateries and the complex literally sits... More
