On a very hot day this is a great place to be! Nice salads, mine a Caesar with added prawns partner a squid and prawn Thai salad. Both were very good. Beer selection is good too. The garden is a nice place to sit looking out on the river.

The highlight of the trip between Sydney and Qld is a stop here. It's like stepping back in time sit outside by the river and relax over breakfast, lunch, morning or afternoon tea. I've tried the scones with Jam and cream - bliss, burgers and bacon and eggs. It's all Yum - stop next time and explore this beautiful little... More

Excellent food and service. Rate this up there with best we've dined in over the past 4 weeks touring NSW. Scones and coffee are amazing. Had to stop in on our way back north again 😄

We chose the Salt 'n' pepper squid and prawns, local beer battered fish, yet everything on the menu looked appetising, and reasonably priced too. With the big river as a backdrop, a most enjoyable experience indeed.

We have visited this spot for Sunday lunch a number of times over the years. Sadly there are a dearth of spots around Grafton that allow you to dine with a view of the Clarence. The dining area here has a great aspect over the river and beyond. The food is consistent and there is a good range of offerings on... More

We loved our recent visit to Ulmara and relaxed meal and travel break. A good range of food and drinks. Service was friendly and quick on a Sunday lunch time in winter there was a real buzz that added to the experience

The Clarence Café is in the Ulmarra Hotel with outdoor seating & a large "sunroom" overlooking the lovely Clarence River, handy for those windy days. The food is hearty & on the top end of pub fare, cooked to perfection. It was very busy the day we went for lunch, but waiting 25 minutes for your meal is no hassle,... More

Great country pub with gorgeous views over the Clarence River. The setting is idyllic. With a huge garden at the rear for the sunlovers. Food is generous in portions.Super tasty meals. I had the Vegie burger with chips & salad & was full as a boot. Flavours were spectacular & coffee was great also. Been there twice on my motorbike... More

Description
Opening Hours Breakfast and Lunch 8.30am - 2.30 pm (7days) Dinner 6.00pm - 8.30pm Tues- Sat Outstanding Coffee This is a delightful cafe/restaurant that provides excellent low priced meals in a setting on the banks of the Clarence River. It is right beside the Pacific Highway and is an excellent break point for those driving the Sydney-Brisbane highway. We have eaten there twice in the past week and were most impressed. We think it should be better known, especially as the service is especially friendly.
