We chose the Salt 'n' pepper squid and prawns, local beer battered fish, yet everything on the menu looked appetising, and reasonably priced too. With the big river as a backdrop, a most enjoyable experience indeed.

We have visited this spot for Sunday lunch a number of times over the years. Sadly there are a dearth of spots around Grafton that allow you to dine with a view of the Clarence. The dining area here has a great aspect over the river and beyond. The food is consistent and there is a good range of offerings on... More

We loved our recent visit to Ulmara and relaxed meal and travel break. A good range of food and drinks. Service was friendly and quick on a Sunday lunch time in winter there was a real buzz that added to the experience

The Clarence Café is in the Ulmarra Hotel with outdoor seating & a large "sunroom" overlooking the lovely Clarence River, handy for those windy days. The food is hearty & on the top end of pub fare, cooked to perfection. It was very busy the day we went for lunch, but waiting 25 minutes for your meal is no hassle,... More

Great country pub with gorgeous views over the Clarence River. The setting is idyllic. With a huge garden at the rear for the sunlovers. Food is generous in portions.Super tasty meals. I had the Vegie burger with chips & salad & was full as a boot. Flavours were spectacular & coffee was great also. Been there twice on my motorbike... More

Riding from Brisbane to Coffs Harbour we dropped in to this little Gem. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is well priced and quick. Even in a busy Saturday lunch time. Views of the river sets the scene. Will be coming again.

We had a recent dinner here and were not disappointed. The cafe is at the back of a lovely old pub, off the main highway, so nice and quiet. Good selection of meals and daily specials. We had calamari salad and a salt and pepper prawn and calamari dish, both very good. Drinks are ordered from the main bar of... More

We were keen for a classic steak and schnitzel lunch - 30 bucks for a steak plus $2 for sauce and more for salad and more for chips makes for a very expensive lunch. The setting is great and the service was passable for a pub, but for minimum $35 each without drinks I'd be expecting table service and a... More

Description
Opening Hours Breakfast and Lunch 8.30am - 2.30 pm (7days) Dinner 6.00pm - 8.30pm Tues- Sat Outstanding Coffee This is a delightful cafe/restaurant that provides excellent low priced meals in a setting on the banks of the Clarence River. It is right beside the Pacific Highway and is an excellent break point for those driving the Sydney-Brisbane highway. We have eaten there twice in the past week and were most impressed. We think it should be better known, especially as the service is especially friendly.
