Went with a friend for lunch , its not the best Wetherspoons ive been too but not the worst either. Definitely needs a little updating. Not to keen on going up stairs for the ladies which needed a tidy. I choose the jacket potato with chilli which was tasty and hot not quite sure about salad with it though. The... More

We use wetherspoons on a regular basis. Unfortunately though today I had to send back my meal which was lasagne as it was cold. I took it to the bar and asked for it to be warmed up and then waited, and waited and waited. Eventually when every body else had finished I went and asked about my missing meal... More

after receiving a very polite apology e-mail for a very bad previous visit to this pub with a complimentary meal for four two of us took up the offer for lunch, a very apologetic young lady took our order and as it was full we took a table outside, not a tidy or clean seating area I must say, also... This pub is really unfairly judged from most. With new management, who may I add has never been a pub manager before, the pub is doing really well. The staff are (mostly) friendly, paying particular attention to shift leader Luke and associate Dom. Whenever I am in there they make me feel very welcome, and the place is always run... More

Have been to The Glassmaker several times and went along last eve as it was "Chicken Night". The chicken I saw served to other people didn't look that great, so opted for a 10oz Gammon, as did a couple of others in our group. We all agreed the gammon was dry and overcooked. But saying that, I have ordered gammon... More

Visited several times with my partner and family. Most meals include a free alcoholic or soft drink with the meal. The food is better than you would expect for such low prices. The service is always quick even when they are very busy. Recommended.

Terrible service with really rude staff, still angered by the treatment I received on my visit. The overly zealous bar staff seem to think that it's acceptable to talk down to customers without provocation.

Recent reviews paint an accurate picture, it really is a shame that pubs of this ilk appear to rely on the price of their beers to attract a certain customer, rather than work at pubbing. Swift visit with friends - Alas, after half of our drinks we left to find a proper pub.

Popped in for a quick drink as we do regularly, because it's good value up to a point. Once again had to ask for a clean glass for the wifes Chardonay, barman couldn't find one in the rack, so went out back and hand washed one. (This has been an ongoing problem for 12 months) and allways the dishwasher is... More
