Good value, hot and friendly service. Popped in for lunch after a nearby shopping excursion. First time in a couple of decades. Traditional, old style, proper pub with a bit of character. Beer out of hand pumps, soda drinks out of bottles, not a multi-head. A decent choice of food options. An honest review of the food, from a qualified... More

Well!!! we dont get out very often at the moment, and today was a little chance to pop into Congresbury to visit a lovely country clothing shop, and perhaps have a little lunch at a small locals pub which had won Camra pub of the year 2014. Lovely little locals pub, nice log fire burning, clean, cosy and welcomming and... More

We stopped for lunch. Lovely building with flagstone floor. This is a pub - good ales / cider (?) with pub food. Limited lunch menu. Our food was good the salad was fresh. We ate our food and left this is a place to drink with friends not to enjoy a leisurely lunch the staff i think are used to... More

We visited whilst staying at The Cadbury House Hotel. The welcome was warm and food of a great standard. The beefsteak pie was superb. Real ales also great. Atmosphere great too. Well done and thank you.

Came along again for some lunch and ordered the delightful cheese, onion and potato pie. Accompanied with chips and the freshest salad I've had in a long time! The food here is always excellent no matter what time of day and the service is polite, efficient and friendly. Great choice of wines (reccomend the Shiraz) and Local ciders and beers, nice... More

I love this pub, we like to visit for lunch and we can take our dog inside too. Always receive a warm welcome. From the menu I can thoroughly recommend their T-Bone steak which is always cooked to perfection and the ham, egg and chips. Why The Plough is currently rated 9th out of 15th on places to visit in... Nice local pub, decent beer selection and they do good food too. Dog freindly which is a plus, and there is a massive beer garden at the back.

Good quality pub grub (with interesting and veggie options), long serving times (up to 9.30pm on Sundays!), friendly staff, nice eating areas and outdoor spaces, plenty of parking, a great place to go when you're hungry before or after a flight from the airport.

Set in the village of Congresbury, North Somerset, a real pub with straight forward good food( and plenty of it), large selection of local and South Wests best beers. Camera club rate it. We all do. Gary and Charlotte know their business and create a great atmosphere. Well worth a visit.

We initially tried the pub out for a quick beer and cider. Which was very good by the way! Seeing the menu we decided to stay and eat. I tucked in a t-bone streak whilst my husband had a pork and apple pie. The food was traditional pub grub, nice large portions and very very good. We finished off with... More
