Been many times. Always friendly staff, great atmosphere, good food (wish the food was a bit cheaper - but you get what you pay for!). A great pub, almost always busy and for good reason.

The visit exceeded our expectations. Popped in for lunch. A good selection on the menu and specials, finally settled for the "2 courses for £8.00". The food soon appeared and was delicious. Throughout our visit the service was excellent, and we were made to feel very welcome. Will definitely revisit.

Lovely quaint village pub with rustic decor is deceptive at first glance. Lovely beer garden at rear, frontage seating for people watching and olde worlde village pub interior. Used by locals and visitors alike, no airs and graces here- just friendly people doing their best to enhance your drinking/dining experience. The food is varied, theme nights and takeaway available. This village pub is a little cracker. Lovely atmosphere, great food and nice real ales. What's not to like. We had a sandwich and ciabatta, both with plenty of lovely fillings, fantastic chips and a nice side salad. Superb and great value. It's well worth peeling off the A303 and driving the 5 minutes to Norton Sub Hamden and seeking... More

We're a bit bored or pretentious gastro pubs locally which charge an extra £5 for triple cooking and reducing things that don't taste any different! We'd already walked in and out of two pubs when we happened upon this little gem! A proper pub with a great atmosphere, lovely staff and really really good food which was great value. I... More

I haven't eaten here for a long, long time and it was fab. They have a great 2 courses for £8 weekday lunch menu - I had veg risotto and creme brulee both of which were absolutely delicious. I will be back to try the paella and sangria night!

We went for the £12 for 3 courses weekday lunchtime menu. The food was superb, freshly cooked and well presented. We were welcomed inside together with our dog, the service was friendly and efficient. We will be going back later this week to sample the evening menu.
