Secret gem of a restaurant in a lovely location. The waiting stuff was friendly and cheerful and all the dishes of very high quality (and of course from local ingredients). Our little 1.5 your enjoyed it too! Her favourite par was actually the bird's nest under the roof. Book ahead to avoid disappointment.

The location and the flair of this restaurant is breathtaking. Far from crowded, mediocre places, Farm Inn and its owners and co-workers do everything to provide you with the most delicious dishes. And not last, they produce most of the ingredients of their food locally.

Delicious taste of food, just from fresh ingredients. Lovely home made lemonade and great service! If you would taste real food direct from the garden - visit this place and enjoy!

We were lucky to find this place, courtesy and quality highly recommended for those looking for real food. Dishes are simple but the quality is 5 stars you can't find anything better in the area.

Food prepared with great care, real organic drinks and home-grown vegetables and fruit. Good service and a feel-like-home atmosphere. Best to sit outside in good weather. Can't go wrong with food order as they make your choice easy with only 2-3 dishes on offer, a sure mark of a quality restaurant. My husband compared it to little Greek restaurants in the countryside but I rather had the feeling I have been to similar places in rural England. A real treat. Great for families with small children too.

We have spent a totally relaxed evening in the Farm Inn, where we enjoyed delicious local foods in a lovely decorated farm house. The service was personal, eventhough it was our first time there we felt like old guest.

Dinners at Farm Inn Fogado are always one of our highlights of our Hungary trips. The place is like a secret garden which will yield amazing delights. And it feels like a holiday. Starting with a lovely greeting from the kitchen, the restaurant offers creative local flavours, meat as well as the fresh catch of the day; most vegetables are grown in their garden, the bread is homemade, everything else is locally sourced. They rear geese and soon plan to have Mangalitsa pigs, too. The German chef from Berlin worked at Michelin-starred restaurants, so the kitchen is thoroughly professional and wonderfully tasty plus, as stated by the Gault-&-Millau, in which they are listed, the dishes are “honest” - indeed is a treat to know that the ingredients are “real” and homemade. Aside from Hungarian, the welcoming host Adriana also speaks at least German, Dutch and Slovakian which adds an international flavour to this very special hideaway where we also stock up on homemade supplies (delicious jams, syrups, chutneys, pickled vegetables, soups and more) from their little shop before we return to Vienna. It is always well worth the short trip to Zalacsány, about ten minutes by car from Hévíz.

The restaurant was a disappointment after reading all the good reviews. Service was very slow and by the time the food arrived it was cold. The location is nice.

Excellent food, great view and good service. The restaurant is also beautifully situated in nature, so it is very quiet and the dishes were typically Hungarian and really well prepared.
