Popped here before Agra for a quick pint for the first time. Pub was pretty nice with trendy decor and the garden looked good too. There were a few punters out there, but it had been raining and was a bit chilly. A pint of...ESB and a Baileys came to just over £8 so not too bad for a Fullers pub. We took a geez at the menu out of interest, but the menu is always the same at Fullers pubs and a bit overpriced. I’ve seen more Mrs Owton bacon on their menus than I’ve had pints of Pride. It would be nice if they were allowed to innovate and do their own thing somewhat. Based upon the drinks and atmos happy to give five stars. Maybe a more interesting and cheaper menu would see me eat here.More

We only drank here a couple of nights, but our friends, who's local this is, have eaten here and say its good. Its a Fuller's pub, which is half the attraction for my other half and our mates. Very cosy with some quirky bits on...the walls etc, its nicely laid out and perfect for a pint or 3 with mates. Staff were nice, Would recommend.More

This is our local, we had friends visiting so came here for Sunday lunch. The pub has a lovely atmosphere and the service today was excellent. It was really quite busy but staff were friendly and attentive. Service was quick for drinks and food. We...all had a roast, 2 had beef (both said it delicious!), another had the vegetarian wellington which was excellent and I had the chicken. All had great accompaniments and the roast potatoes, red cabbage and Yorkshire puddings were so good! Good value and will definitely be back.More

Went for a quick drink last Saturday , a whole bunch of tables were thrown together and on one of these a Reserved From 9pm sign . As it was 8:35 and we did not expect to be more than 15 minutes we sat on...one of these tables . At 8:45pm one of the bar staff came over and told us that the party who had reserved the tables had arrived and we had to move , there was no apology , no please or thank you , just a demand to get up and move on …..More

Got charged twice for 3 drinks, rather than the refund that was due we decided to have 3 more beers. 2 Ashais then later 2 Sols. One of the Sols was paid for cash as the other was owed to us. Several days later I...was told I owe money and refused service. I explained what happened to the Barman who served us and he agreed I had paid for that drink. But said the supervisor had barred because of the outstanding drink. Never in my life had such a drama over £4.70 especially considering it was my regular and local for over a year. How does a customer get barred for a pubs mistake?More

We went last week for a quick drink before going for a meal our first time at prince of Wales .its not a bad pub and could see it’s a friendly place where locals bring their dogs ,I love dogs but not when they are...barking loudly when you are trying to sit & have quiet drink so will not be returning for that reason .More

One of the worst sandwiches I’ve ever been presented. I can only presume the person in the kitchen at this pub has no training. Roast Beef sandwich had two bits of meat inside it, that not only looked like it had been chewed before it...made their way into my sandwich, but also only took up about a 1/8 of the inside of the sandwich. Sat in the pub for 45 minutes and the kitchen made 6 sandwiches within this time. Mine was sent back as was one for the table next to us. With seven and a half minutes to make each sandwich how can it be done wrong?!? Avoid this place like the plague, as that could be what you end up with if you take on a sandwich from here. I would say try another line of work to the cook (not chef), but if you can’t put ingredients in-between two bits of bread properly, I don’t think there’s much hope for you.More

I just came from the prince of Wales pub in Surbiton/ tolwoth. I have had 2 pints of Guinness which where my 2nd and 3rd drink of the night. Last orders were called which were served by a friendly guy with long hair. It's not...a bad pint so I can see they take care of their pipes. Unfortunately, about 10 minutes later I was told the doors were closing and it was time to leave.. "you can drink your drink or take a plastic cup but you're leaving" were the words. Now I don't mind being told to drink up and leave, that's fair. I DO mind being spoken to like I'm causing inconvenience by being a customer. I asked to speak to a manager.. I was told that the lady who had unceremoniously told me that I can down it or take a plastic cup WAS the manager.. I wouldnt recommend prince of Wales, they don't want your custom.More
