I have been to the French tarte many times and been very pleased. The last time service was slow but okay. This week we popped in on Saturday and I was appalled by the disgusting Greek salad I was served. The cucumber and tomatoes not...More
We often visit this lovely cafe for a takeaway breakfast and on the rare occasion we sit together as a family of four in the cafe.
There are always lots of cakes and pastries to choose from too!
Best mocha in surbiton!
Having been wanting to try this place for sometime my wife and I popped in for breakfast. The place was busy and we were found a table with the proviso that it was reserved from 2pm which wasn't a problem. I had a cappuccino and...More

A decadent afternoon with no children! A walk along the river in the sunshine, followed by a fabulous tiered platter of treats. I especially enjoyed the savoury layer, but the array of sweets was also excellent. Very good service by knowledgeable waitress.

Thank you for your concern but it isn't something we have an issue with at this time. So far, we have never found it a problem and if a larger group arrive looking to eat in, then our lone diners (for want of a better word) have always been very happy to move to a smaller table of their own accord. We have never had to step in. We have no plans to have a charge for table usage.
