Lovely place to grab lunch, sandwiches, baguettes, hot filled rolls, pies, soups and homemade cakes. Decent priced and good food would definitely recommend. The other filling station in prestonpans is also excellent. My personal favourite is chicken sweetcorn baguette with salad 👍

what a place - happy friendly chatty staff who serve you with a smile and know exactly what all the ingredients are and fill your rolls to bursting point!!! Stop here as a treat on our holidays and the place is always busy but the service is quick.

I've been going to the Filing Station for a number of years but thought eventually I'd leave a wee review for the establishment on Trip Advisor. The ladies who serve are always helpful and chatty and they do a great job, the baguettes are always packed fulsome of great food and salad. The food is always fresh and tasty and... More

Great little find, lovely ladies who serve you with a smile, nothing too much bother, you can make your own baguette or salad up, great if you have allergies. Would definitely recommend. Shame it is not open on a Sunday

A great place to build your own sarnie and nothing is too much trouble 😀 Apparently I have to use 100 characters minimum which I don't quite understand but I thoroughly enjoyed my purchases as above xx

Thank you to the lovely ladies who saved the day! After the Marathon we foolishly drove from the station with our boot open. We realised about it after driving for 5mins or so. A handbag had fallen out and the Filling Station staff saved the day by taking it in and keeping it safe. Thank you so much, will be... More

Tasty tasty food! Baguettes are lovely, paninis are delicious! The staff really need to lighten up though, every time I go, they never smile, never engage in any chat, they are all like robots! I understand it's a busy shop but a smile and a hello goes a long way!

This may not look too encouraging; opposite a station just near a roundabout and roadworks on the main road. But the queues out the door are a good clue.

Go inside and you find a very attractive owner and 5 or six very attractive girls all working their socks off in what may very well be the world's best sandwich store. Actually , if you are on the way to one of the 10 golf courses between here and Gullane this is the perfect place to stop for your (very substantial) snacks. How does a place earn the title of 'World's Best"? Well , for a start there are about 30 mixes you can choose from. I went with Curried Chicken and Mango and added assorted salad (including fresh beetroot!) on cracked wheat bread for a perfect picnic sandwich. Our picnic was on one of the 4 or 5 great windswept beaches nearby.

The Filling Station do lots of fairly solid home baking as well. They leave free samples on the counter to tempt you. I had an Apple Cinamon 'Rock' cake as well. All in all, well worthy of the detour. Suggestions? Would have loved a Scotch Egg or a fresh Sausage Roll as well!
